My first Marlin. 30-30. Set it up with scout scope, XS rail and ghost sights and an aftermarket trigger.
Too heavy, gave it to my dad. I learned I don't care for pistol grips at all.

1894 44 Mag w/Loopy 1.5x5 VX-III big $ glass. Weaver base. I'm looking into a different base, probably a B-square. Need to place the
scope further forward than the Weaver will allow. It still works, but the eye relief isn't perfect for me with hunting clothes on. Shoots M.O.W. (min of whitetail) at 100yds with 240 GR Winchester JSP.
The little guy with it is a 39 TDS clone built on a 1965 Golden. It's a sweetheart.

Marlin 39 TDS .22 S/L/LR clone (receiver is a 1965 39A):

30-30 "Texan" and a 1894 .357. Skinner sights on the 30-30. 1894 is bone stock. Both are VERY nice shooters.

bought them all used and they are all NON-CBS models so they do have a few years on them.

Strictly speaking, you got 2nd thread, I got second post when I responded to GoatBoy's thread.

My Winchester 1886 takedown.

ETA: I have a Marlin 1894 Cowboy also, I don't have any pictures of it though.

Actually it is the Marlin 39 Century -LTD.

That is just what I took of it last year.  Last picture is waaaay over exposed, but I'll get more if you want.

Is the fore end cap of your 39 LTD color case hardened? In the pic it looks gold colored. I've been toying with the idea of a case color 39 TDS.

Actually it isn't.  It is a brass forend cap that has a slight color stain.

The rest of the rifle and bluing is in awesome condition, and I got it for a really good price.

I know I"ll forget some that I've owned, but here are afew I've got on the old Photobucket account right now!

Rossi .44 Mag 1892 Puma

Uberti 1873 Trapper in .44/40

1892 Winchester in .32/20 ca. 1895

Marlin 1894CL in .32/20 and a Marlin 1893 in .32/40

More of the 1894 .32/20

Rossi .22 pumpgun and a EMF 1892 Short Rifle in .45 Colt

And the funny thing, this is my favorite, a Rossi 1892 Carbine in .357 but I've only got really crappy pictures of it from a long time ago!  It's a sweet shooter and would probab;y serve me best as a SHTF type of rifle.

And the buttstock ammo carrier I made for it

Finally an Uberti 1860 Henry in .45 Colt  I bought it new and have never fired a round of smokeless through it!  it's a great shooter, but man, does that barrel heat up after a dozen quick rounds of FFg!

Old Crow,
That's one the nicest collections of Marlins I've seen! Your rifles appear to all be in mint condition. Did you restore them or just find safe queens?
Either way, I'm green with envy. If you ever sell that 1966 Marlin 336 44 Magnum please keep me in mind.

Slow_Hand,
One question on the  Uberti 1873 Trapper in .44/40...it looks like the bbl is less than 16".
Is it a C&R that has been exempted from NFA? Or is it just a trick of the camera?

Thank you.

No restorations on any of them except for the stock change on one. I kept the original stock so I can change it back if I want to someday. I guess I'm just lucky to find a few nice ones. Thanks again.

Nope, it was 16".  I'd never had one before and it was one sweet handling little levergun.  Traded into it on a whim and didn't hold onto it for long.  I didn't reload .44/40 and it only held 9 rounds so it wasn't good for CAS.  it wa s a cool little rifle and one day I'll have another one in .45 Colt.  I still remeber taking it home from the shop and it was sitting in the front seat of my little Ranger.  It barely went from teh comsole to the edge of the seat!  If it wasn't so pretty, it'd have made a hell of a truck gun!

Marlin 39 TDS clone. Professionally done conversion by a local smith. It used to be a pistol grip 24" bbl 39A Golden.
Came out better than I expected. It's going to be a shooter so not too worried about the collector aspect. The donor gun was a 1965 Golden. I put 50 rounds through it last night (mixed, value pack, CCI LR and CCI shorts) all fed without a hitch. I'm a HAPPY camper and that's what this carbine's purpose is, camping! It points like a dream. The short heavy bbl really is balanced well.
Really looking forward to this fall. A single six and a TDS pretty much make up my camping arsenal. Perfect combo for me and my family! The wife thinks it's "cute". She'll get hooked on shooting CCI shorts first time out. No ear plugs required, nice indeed!

Oh I love lever action picture shows, especially Marlin-related!  Here are mine:

1) Marlin 1894 Cowboy in .45 Colt with tang sight.

2) Before the Guide gun came out, I had this custom work done on a Marlin 1895 .45-70.  Hard chrome finish, ported barrel, Lyman receiver sight, etc.

3) Marlin Model 410 made sometime between 1929-1932.

4) 1939 vintage Marlin 39A .22 "transitional".  First year and only year with this stock style.

5) 1953 vintage Marlin 336RC .30-30 regular carbine.

Long story, but I have slightly less than two 1883 vintage Marlin 1881 .45-70 rifles.  I bought the original condition one first, UPS lost the bolt and magazine tube enroute to a gunsmith.  Luckily, it was well-insured package and they paid it in full and I used the proceeds for another exactly like the first.  The serial number is about 700 different, made in the same year.  It had an unfortunate refinish, so I transferred the replacement parts to the original and used it for SASS lever action long range competition!

This one may not quite count as a Marlin lever action, but the top one in this picture is an 1883 vintage Marlin-Ballard BPCR Silhouette .45-70 competition gun with a Ron Long barrel, custom wood and Montana Vintage sights...

Not a Marlin in the bunch. My levergun collection consists of two Rossi 357mags and a Henry 22r.  All three are great shooters with smooth actions and light triggers.  There are all accurate as heck even out past 200yds.

Marbles sights on my 24" octagon barreled Rossi 357mag.

The rear sight is a folder to use with the tang sight.  It's accurate well past 200yds.

My newest, a 357mag Rossi carbine.

I added Marbles sights (after the 1st picture was taken) and a saddle ring for fun.

The brass bead front sight sure helps these older eyes see them better.

My first levergun, a highly modified Henry H001.

Williams receiver sight with 'tic' marks for settings from 25yds to 200yds . . . . . . . . . . . with a 22lr.

Well I've been waiting for 8 months to have Marlin pictures to post. The guns are being shipped tomorrow, but I received some pictures tonight. I bought two new Marlins, the stainless one I have never even seen, and shipped them off to Colorado, to Lee Hadaway. Here is what I will be getting back. The one in Black Guncoat is a .450 Marlin, the matt stainless one is in .45-70.
