Specifics? The problem with my choice above is it has a runtime of only 4 hours on one battery. So I will have to leave it plugged in to the 12V outlet, wonder if this will drain the car battery.

The dash-cam runs off the second battery, with a low-voltage cutoff. If it drops to 12.0 volts, it shuts down until it's charged back up. ETA: from a full charge, that battery runs the dashcam for about 100 hours before it hits the voltage cutoff (which is at about 50% discharge... you really don't want to run a battery down past that level) |
