So I picked up a large Sentry brand safe at an auction for $50 (Retail is $500+) Its brand new aside from the dented corner, I'm guessing it fell off of a shelf at a store.
It has great reviews on amazon, home depot, etc...but on most gun forums they seem to say they are worthless. I looked up some videos of people breaking into them in just a few minutes which is kind of disappointing.
But are they really THAT bad? or are gun owners just used to higher end safes so they cant take smaller safes serious?
Im not planning to store firearms in it, was just hoping to get the cash, jewelry, and misc paper work out of my gun safe to free up some room.
Any thoughts on making it more secure?
I was going to bolt it down and then maybe put a box or something over top to help hid it.
