I'm wondering how important a safe warranty actually is.  I was in a safe store the other day and there was a very nice AmSec BF that was used and for sale.  They wanted $1700 which was about half of the list new but it had no warranty.  What are y'alls thoughts about it?

i have had a FT Knox for years now....If I remember correctly, it has a warranty if you have a fire and/or break in (or attempted) along with it functioning correctly for life. But remember any warranty is only good as long as that company remains in business......

I understand that.  I bought an AmSec off craiglist several years ago and of course about 2months in I had to have the entire locking mechanism replace which would have been free under warranty.
