I think my next car with be an SUV and I'm going to get one of those Trunk Vaults put in. But right now I drive a little Mazda 3 and my trunk gun is a cheap used shotgun. I don't really care if it gets stolen, but I wrote down the serial number just in case. I haven't had anyone break into my car yet though. I did disable the trunk release in the driver seat though, so you have to use a key to get into the trunk, it's fairly secure.

My firearm being stolen wouldn't bother me possession and dollar wise, but it WOULD bother me with what they might use it for. I don't think I would be good if I heard that my stolen weapon was used to murder a gas station clerk.

I got a few of the gun locks like police have in patrol cars.
Uses a handcuff key as backup. Has an electronic lock as primary.(hide the button and it has a 10 sec delay) I put one in the wifes nissan and that's as far as it got( never put one in the truck). The one in her car holds and M-4 or a 12 shotgun. May be an option. |

A chain attached to the rear seat frame and looped through the receiver of the rifle, and secured with a padlock?
