read some of the reviews, made in china, one person had a bad electronic lock. for that price though only way to get a great safe is secondhand.
also says does not come with locking anchors or floor bolts. for how good the safe itself is i dunno, the costco by me only carries winchester, but they have a picture of the big horn on some banner. |

Yeah im not a fan of the chinese made part, but Ive read you can request to get a dial lock instead and it does have a lifetime warranty. Ive been looking locally for used ones and cant find anything worth it or in my price point... |

I have 2 Bighorns - one like that and one a "fatboy".
A few nice features are cost, it does have locking door lugs on three sides - the hinge sides are welded. The door is removable which helps in moving it down a stairway. Get a light kit from here: LED LIGHT KIT Get a $10 power strip - cut off the plug and run it though the hole for the dehumidifier. Mount it inside and you can hook up the dehumidifier rod and LEd lights. If you only have a few long guns it is ok - get some rifle rods to improve storage. Otherwise this safe it a better deal - much more room - which I had 2. BIGHORN |

Also,is the dehumidifier a necessity even if I live where its not very humid? |

I use the Golden Rod. They all look to be similar. My basement is dry but still use them.
