Am I seeing correctly that there are zero locking lugs on the hinge side of those doors?

There are angle iron Deadbars welded to the door that go behind the jambs. Typical construction on commercial TL safes.

Us know how you like it as that is the safe that I have my eye on. A lot of people will tell you oh it's not strong enough. I don't know?

I will keep mine inside in my spare bedroom/office. Some people prefer to keep it int he garage, bolted down to the slab.

I finally bought a real safe.  Can't wait to get it!

A large gun shop nearby had a sale this past weekend.  I went with my dad to check it out, not really expecting to buy a safe.  They listed the Stack-on Total Defense 28-gun safe for $750 which seemed to be a decent price.  Most places had that safe on sale for that price.  I was just going to wait for Black Friday to get a better deal.

We got there and I noticed a hand-written sign on the safe saying the original price was $750 but it was now $550.  I couldn't believe it and thought it was wrong.  I asked a worker twice if it was correct.  He said yes.  So, I bought it right then and there.  I had to put it on layaway because we only had a car and not a truck.  When I go to pick it up I only have to pay the last $1.

So excited!  Now I can use my Stack-on cabinet as my ammo cabinet.  I'll post pics once I get it.

Well? Here she is...

Still working on securing everything, but most of the guns are inside. Still got a few to look for around the house.

Yes, the safe is bolted down to the floor; she's not going anywhere.

I was going to ask if it was real wood or faux wood because either way, that's gangsta!

Basement wedged in a cubby hole. Not bolted down, but if they can get past the alarm and then manage to pull a 800# safe out, good luck.

Nothing a little wood tinted wood putty won't fix and some clear nail polish.

Finally got around to bolting my safe to the floor and while I was at it, I added some LED light strips!

I'm thinking ALS Smoke Grenades, but they could be Tear Gas Grenades as well.

One thing I want to mention about my Liberty Safe - The shelving is particle board . I am thinking of having them replaced with 3/4 inch plywood padded with the same matting and edging as the originals. Probably mod a few to put in more guns. You'd figure that after spending 3 grand on a safe, that it would come with something better inside, but that's just me thinking out loud. I'll go to the store tomorrow and pick up a light strip kit also, the two motion-activated (lol) lights are not enough to light up the safe, but they were free, so no biggie.

My first RSC. Everything used to be on a homemade rack in a closet.

Need to figure out how to get things organized better so I can get some shelves. I only have a few handguns in there now as I could only use the door pockets. Only the AK and the SVT have mags in them. The SVT because those mags are nearly unobtainable and the AK just because it looks cool in the door.

Ive moved a lot for work and wanted something easier to move. Anchored into the slab.

One day I would like to purchase a lifetime type safe.

Its a Dakota Black Diamond. Too many long things. Also, the polish m44 fit better in its slot with the bayo fixed. No shelf so it doesnt matter for now.

I like it. Don't like mags (space) or loaded chambers inside a safe (fire issue- not saying you have any chambered), but looks good. Might try rifle rods to free up some space for shelves.

Thanks!
Someone else recommended those to me too. I just ordered a 10 pack starter kit from amazon to try.

I would like to be able to get the shelf up.

The SVT mag I just dont want to seperate from the rifle and the AK mag I really only put on the sake of the photo.

What would be the difference between a firearm with a loaded chamber stored inside a safe versus a firearm with a loaded chamber stored outside a safe in a fire situation?

A round might cook off in either scenario and it's not like the safe will grenade from a few cartridges going off.

I need something too, I've looked at those rifle rods but they don't look like they'd really help me much. They just hang down and hold the guns slightly straighter correct?

After a couple years of dealing with the inserts that came with my safe, and only being able to store 24 long guns in a 48 gun safe, I finally got motivated to do something.  After lots of research and planning, I was ready to execute.  Went out to buy my materials and stumbled across something even better.  Now I can store 34 long guns in my safe, don't have to remove optics and every gun is held securely in place preventing the gun avalanche problem.
