Finally received my 4.5" MPX K handguard yesterday! Luckily it came pretty quickly...only had to wait 439 days from when I placed the order.

I have a 4" barrel, cut and rethreaded by ADCO in January 2016, and TROS USA 3-Lug. I use a SilencerCo Octane 45 HD with Griffin 3-lug connection. I picked up an extra MPX front sight for the 4.5" handguard last year, so I can quickly swap between the two setups. The 4.5" handguard also has the Sig foregrip/hand stop installed. All I can say is WOW is the MPX tiny with the 4.5" handguard and a 20rd mag. Pictures just don't do it justice. Can't wait to get it out to the range!

Here is my MPX with the 4.5" handguard vs 8" handguard;

And the 4.5" vs 8" w/suppressor;

Looks good. I stopped waiting and just cut mine down. Get the side folding stock and that will take off 2 or so inches on the back. Goes from tiny to really tiny.

Where did you get it?  I had pretty much given up that they would ever show, and was just about to sell and go with an mp5 clone instead.

Me too!

I ordered the 4.5" handguard directly from Sig customer service, over the phone.

Thanks! Yeah, I thought about cutting mine too...given the never ending wait. However, wanted to keep the longer one to run with the suppressor under the handguard, plus longer sight radius.

I had the side folding stock in the safe, so after your comment I thought I'd toss it on there. You weren't kidding, it's almost hard to believe how compact this thing is now! Plus, it deploys so quickly and feels like the perfect LOP with the rest of the dimensions being so small. I can't wait for the next IDPA rifle side match, this thing is going to be QUICK in the K configuration.

Sig MPX SBR - check
iPad - check
Reese's Puffs- fail

Seriously good looking MPX. Can't wait until my form 1 comes back. Really didn't consider the folding stock
until your pics. Don't really care for folders but man that's compact.

What was price on the 4.5" hand guard through Sig, if you don't mind me asking?
Link Posted: 4/9/2017 8:23:41 PM EDT
[#8]
It was $129 directly from Sig.

The OAL is about 13" with the folding stock, and about 16.25" OAL with the collapsible - measured from the front of the handguard to the most rearward collapsed/folded position.

Sincerely appreciate the pictures of the telescoping and side folding stocks.  Has anyone measured the LOP differences between the 2 different stocks?   Does the side folding stock offer some adjustability in regards to height in relation to top of mil rail ?  The stock arm brace does, and is nice to lower cheek weld slightly.

Does anyone know if the side folding telescoping stock have several length positions, or is it just fully extended or fully closed?

Thanks
