Ok guys. Brass or steel ammo?

I've ran brass just becuz I'm used to it with my AR. Ak obviously is steel.

So what's everyone running in their mpx?

Also let me know if you are supressed or not.

Thanks.

My MPX does not like Winchester Brown Box Steel.  All my P-series shoot it fine.

Damnit totally forgot to add aluminum. Even I was buying some from Wally World when it was on sale. Not for mpx tho.

I've never owned a pistol that would run reliably on steel stuff.  Therefore, I stock brass.

However, I have not tried steel in the MPX.

With the price of 9mm ammo so low, I see no reason to shoot steel cased 9 mm....

My gen 1 eats everything I fed it so far, Brass(AE 124gr, Freedom 147gr, Federal 115gr, Winchester 115gr, Remington UMC, etc),  Aluminum (Federal Aluminum and Blazer) and steel (tulammo and Freedom steel).

Only issues I ever had was when the mags where new, the first round sometimes didn't load when mag was inserted on closed bolt, but that worked it self out once the original mag was used a bit... all new mag I purchased was loaded and left 24h, unloaded and repeat for a week before first usages and never had issues with them.

My gen2 has eaten everything I put through it, including defensive ammo and lightly-loaded home reloads. I have shot steel through it, but find that I get a lot of crap thrown out on my arm and face/eye pro from the cheaper ammo.

Since we don't always pick up brass where I shoot and there is movement worked in a good bit, mine runs on a healthy diet of Federal Aluminum a lot of the time honestly. No issues from it whatsoever either, probably ~3k rounds through it at this point.

I've run steel and brass through mine.  Both seem fine.  For suppressed I'm trying to stick mostly to 147 grn TMJ to try to keep the Omega 9K clean.

weren't there some people who were ending up with cracked ejection ports from shooting steel?

I've put probably about 600 rounds of steel through my MPX with no issues. I do not run it suppressed.

Mine runs on anything.
I mainly shoot homemade reloads but I've shot several hundred rounds of Winchester steel and Federal aluminum, all without problem.
