Update with Mlok upgrades, sights re-installed and SF added.

P.S. Obsidian in K length was exceptional on this MPX!

Interesting light position/routing. Its different but I like it, any pics from the other side?

Yep.

2 things about lefthanded low light location; I am left eye dominant and handguard has more of a rounded edge on the upper quadrant and mount would not sit flush.

10inch rail and 8inch barrel?

13.5 carbine barrel cut to 7".

To those of you running a can under these handguards - how does it handle heat? I know my AR 15 carbon fiber handguard - while it dissipates heat faster it also heats up faster than other handguards.

Just curious to your experience

Can't answer your question directly, but I chose to cut my 8" barrel to 7" (rethreaded) and I got the 6.5" CF Lancer Handgaurd.

My plan is to swap the Sig factory 8" handgaurd over the suppressor for heavier firing.  I wanted to avoid any potential heat and CF issues. Besides, the handgaurd is an easy swap (...hopefully the Lancer is as easy as the factory Sig).

Does anybody have any actual measurements on how much weight is saved vs the standard 8" handguards?

For those who have received theirs, did it take more or less than 3 weeks? I placed my order last week and am tying to see if I can get it here before my next ranch visit.

Is the paper roll a suppressor mock mount? If so, I totally did the same thing trying to figure it how it will look haha

Totally... I was trying to gauge length.  Its aluminum pipe with black gaff tape.

Talked to lancer the other day... there's an add-on top rail in development.

I am happy with no rail, or at least the option.   Yea, if they are gonna make a rail, it should come with the HG.

But in general, the MPX handgards are already fat, so using a C grip my thumb was in my line of sight, which was a little distracting.   With no rail, the thumb fits right at a the end of an M-lok slot and I love it.

Does anyone have any recommendations on what mlok rail adapters will work well for the spanning the entirety of the 10-inch handguard? I'm trying to get enough room for the buis, DBAL, and tape switch... I figure I pretty much need to fill up the whole top of the handguard.

I know Lancer has one in development, but who knows when that'll get here...

4" barrel.  KAK Slim flash (half sized) muzzle can.  Threaded 1/2x18.  Omega-9k purchased the other day...here's to less than a 12 month wait hopefully.

For those that purchased the Lancer handguard, is there a noticable weight difference?  Thinking of pulling the trigger.  Also, is there a top rail for the handguard yet?

There is no top rail yet, so you have to figure out your own solution using mlok. Definitely the biggest drawback.

That said, the weight savings is pretty impressive. Holding the 10inch rail almost feels like there is nothing in your hand.

I just heard from Lancer that the 14" carbine length is available to order , $319.

Does anyone have an end view photo of the stock Keymod vs the Lancer CF?  I am curious how much smaller in diameter the Lancer is, or if it is the same just minus the top rail.

Thanks!

I'm looking for the MPX-K length.  I'm getting my carbine chopped to 4.5" and want the small Lancer.  Where are you guys finding these in stock?  Lancer page has them out.

Rainer Arms and SKD had them in stock a few days ago when i checked. I have the 4.5 and it is GTG.

Does anyone know an M Lock hand stop that will sit flush with the front of the 4.5 lancer handguard?

It looks like Lancer has updated their webpage.  Both MPX and MCX are easy to find.

In my experience, it varies widely by handstop manufacturer.

Apparently Lancer is moving reeeeeaallyyy slow on the rail sections.  Need a top rail section for my 6.5" CF handgaurd.
