Looking to obtain an AR mag compatible lower for my 551A1. Anyone got a lead or know where to look?

If you want one with a folding stock, there's one on GB for 365. There was a guy on the EE trying to sell his pistol lower also. The pistol lowers have a little cap on the back end that you can unscrew and put an AR buffer tube on if you want to go that route.

I just SBR'd my 556 pistol and I have both the classic folder lower end and a 551A1 folding lower for, as well as my pistol lower. I'm still debating on whether to hold on to the pistol lower or not. I found both of the folding lowers for around $400. I think they're drying up a little, though.

Seriously. You might end up with an XI lower at this point but that's fine. They're going to be cheaper than anyone else, and they'll be happy to sell you one.

If you want just the lower and not the stock, I am looking for a Swiss style stock.

I have one of the old first generation lower receiver that have the AR style stock laying around here some where.

There's one in the Classified Rifle Parts section on AR15.com for $350 with stock.  Buy it and sell the stock if you don't need it.
