Interesting, just saw a picture with the STOCK-X-COLLAPSIBLE-BLK on the other forum that was discussing it. With the stock fully collapsed, the collapsible rails are about an inch or so shorter than the recess to accommodate it in side of the MPX. It's interesting because all of the pictures I have seen of the STOCK-MPX-TELE show that the collapsible rails completely fill the recess in the sides of the upper. Perhaps this is so the stock can fully collapse on the MCX while not interfering with the brass deflector/forward assist? If this IS the case, it would be disappointing then as an MPX stock because of its shorter LOP, which was already seen as sometimes too short with the original LOP. Those of you who got the X collapsible may want to double check. |

Saw this on the SIG's facebook page but had to google the company to find the link.

The other company that makes a similar stock does the same thing, leaves the rods stainless. I didn't buy my tacticool SIG to then flash it up with some stainless accessory. I may email them to see if they can finish them. |

Received my MPX-Tele stock today. Took it and KM folder to range this evening. Two buddies of mine and I all had the same opinion, the KM folder is more comfortable to shoot. The Tele is a quality piece, is well made, and functions properly. It has the feel expected of a this type of stock, but I prefer the KM better.

http://www.ar15.com/media/viewFile.html?i=77774&prev=1 Gets stopped from being fulling collapsed by the brass deflector. View Quote Did you ever fix this? I got mine today and it has this issue. I can either leave it, cut one leg with the mill, or pull the roll pin and trim it in the lathe. Either way an easy fix or am I better off to wait until sig catches up and see if they will swap it? |

Are you putting the MPX specific (discontinued) stock on the MCX? If so, the new model that is universal to the MCX/MPX would operate properly for you. Someone that has the universal stock on an MPX might even be willing to swap for the MPX only version. (I personally have the MPX version with the longer rails) STOCK-MPX-TELE is MPX only. Longer rails to fill channels on MPX. STOCK-X-COLLAPSIBLE-BLK is universal to the MCX/MPX. Shorter rails to clear the MCX brass deflector, same LOP as MPX only stock. |

I will call sig on mine Monday. One rail would do it since there is space on the other side of the receiver for the longer one. Looks like it is just held in with a roll pin.

I completely bypass the intermediate notch when extending the stock. Full open to full closed with the help of an epoxy putty.
You can find the epoxy stick at any auto parts store. Upon kneading, the grey/black putty hardens like steel. I vigorously roll it between my palms for 30 seconds to blend the two epoxy parts. You have about 5 minutes of working time to shape the putty. This stuff is as handy as duct tape. Just press the putty into the intermediate notch and smooth it to blend into the rail surface. The spring detent will glide right over the covered notch. The stock will full extend with one tug! Cheers |

Guys, I apologize for the newbie questions here, I just picked up my Gen 2 MPX this weekend though:
1. Can someone give me the actual length the folding stock adds to to MPX? I need to submit my form 1. (OAL would be nice also to compare to my measurements) 2. The 3 mag essential pack thing, is this for the 20 or 30 round mags? 3. Can I get the number to call for the 3 mag pack please? |

Anyone hear from Sig when these might be shipping again? I've had mine on order for a month since my form 1 was appoved

Optics Planet shows 8 in stock. I added one to my cart a few weeks ago while I checked to see if anyone else had them cheaper. I found them cheaper at midwestgunworks.com and bought their last one. Few minutes later OpticsPlanet sent me an email containing a $25/off promo code to finish my order. Said it was only good for a day or two and must be used on the item in my cart. In case you don't want to wait on Sig..

I see all the NFA warnings..... I'm not breaking any rules by order the stock first? I just can't connect the two without NFA work, right? |
|
Received mine from Optics Planet yesterday for $175 including free 2-day shipping .
Now I have to keep it at a different locale until my Form 1 comes through... |
|
^ Thanks for the heads up that Optics Planet is carrying these... make sure you guys email JesseTischauser for a 10% off code. That will bring it down to $157.50 shipped!
