Why $140. I figured it would be classified as a AR15 barrel and not one of the others.

But it also saved me money on buying a 13.5x1 adapter

Yeah Im not sure why, thats what they told me via email for it.  I think it does have to do with the piston assembly.

? Price tag for that service ?

Did you notice a difference in the blow back when suppressed?
Did you remove piston before sending it in?

Had Adco cut the barrel down to 4.5" and finally tried it today.  i only shot about 25 rounds but it cycled 115 fmj and 147 hollow points perfect.  Half were suppressed the other half were unsuppressed.  Also no baffle strikes.

Had it threaded 1/2x28 and door to door only took 7 days.

As far as blowback goes I never fired it with the 8" barrel so I cant speak to that.

No I didnt remove the piston.

How's the blowback with the 4.5" barrel? What can? Thanks.

I dont remember noticing any issues but that wasnt my main concern.  The main thing I was worried about was whether or not it would run good with the shortened barrel.

I did take a quick look down the bore this morning and it looked pretty clean, the only thing that caught my eye were the gold colored particles scattered throughout the chamber and receivers..... Not bad but noticeable....Is that something you guys that have fired yours have noticed?

I see that the S3G and B.A.D. selector levers are confirmed working in the MPX, what about other AR parts? B.A.D. Enhanced Pins, charging handle, etc?

Yeah thats from the wwb 115s. I've seen those on other hosts. Haven't ran that crap through my mpx. Only 147's and 158's haven't noticed flakes but powder caked on from high back pressure of a few thousand rounds all around my chamber. Also found the firing pin housing gets full of crap after 3k rounds. Didn't clean it the first three range trips and then took apart the bolt and wow... Total crud.

Odd ball question but do you have a scale by chance and can give the weight of the new cut barrel? Interested to see how much weight we can take off this heavy gun.

I'm curious what the ID of the handguard is, and whether or not a QD can will fit inside it with the shortened barrel

This thread is making it awful tempting to skip the Evo and go for the MPX...
I could make some money on the Evo mags I have to help offset the cost difference

My 9S fits fine(1.38" OD) and I'll be using a 3-lug on it soon when TROS ships my 3-lug adapter. Might have to go ahead and get my barrel chopped since it appears to work without much issue. I'm glad I skipped the Evo personally. It was tempting though.

Not my picture.  From googling it seems that a sear trip fits on the notches on the carrier.  Maybe the MPX sear trip is similar to the CMMG 22LR sear trip for their 22LR bolts?

The ACE should work just fine. I just received my ACE Ultra Light Entry Length stock.

The issue is the buffer tube I received with my stock is not round, so I can't install it.

The threads will not engage with the folding stock adapter. I sent an email to ACE and am waiting for a reply. I'm sure that with some heat and the right amount of clamping force that I could get this tube to work, but for $105 I shouldn't have to. As a temporary solutions, I tried to install the butt stock on the existing MPX buffer tube but the diameter of the MPX tube is too large for the ACE butt stock.

This stock is very light and will serve well in this application. However, for the price, the fit and finish are not the best. The supplied rubber recoil pad does not line-up well with the shoulder plate on the stock. The buffer tube is a high-gloss black, where I feel a matt finish would be a better fit for an AR type stock. Luckily the foam over tube covers most of the buffer tube. Hopefully I will receive a replacement buffer tube from ACE by the time my Form 1 is approved. Then another 3 months or so before my Ti-RANT 9 is released from NFA jail.

btw, the stock in the above photo is NOT attached to the MPX, it is simply sitting next to the MPX. You can clearly see in the 2nd photo that the threads are not engaged.

Thank you for the heads up on this.  Disappointed to hear that about the ACE stock.  It would be so perfect for this application.

So wait? A dealer is allowed to fabricate and then attach said stock to a factory pistol for a photo op and then take it off and the pistol is never classified as an SBR ? How does that work.....

Glanced over on nfa tracker and based on the first shipment no F1 could have cleared yet. That would be <40 days.
And since he "made" the stock. It did not come SBR. Otherwise the f3 for dealer would have magically cleared... That and he is selling off the part of the SBR before the form 4 happens.... Which isn't legal... So he derped.

He is likely a SOT who bought the pistol. He can put a stock on and file the form 2 for SBR after.

You fool! Don't you understand that it would allow you to use any! I mean ANY buffer tube/stock combo of your choice.... And it folds! Why would anyone want the ability to choose their stock! Why would you want to save over 500$ on after market parts....

Honestly though... Its like buying a pre built computer from Kmart blue light special.

No changing to the piston. I did find that it will short stroke the S3G trigger after about 1600 rounds due to the dirty BCG.
I don't think there are to many who shot that much. Umm I've tried 124,115,147,158 ppu and Focchi and they all cycle it unsuppressed when the guns cleaner. (I wouldn't run the 4" with handguard  unless your suppressed! Otherwise it blasts your forward hand) well I haven't left my hand there to find out how it feels.

What other details you want.
Work was done by ACDO.

Top, have you had to clean the firing pin housing area where the spring is yet? I was noticing some of the casings had lighter primer strikes from my most recent range trip. I pulled that out and the spring for the firing pin had a solid cake of build up between the coils preventing full compression. I hadn't cleaned that spring since ~2k round mark and was curious if yours had any deposits of carbon there?
Seems like an odd place for excess canon fouling. (Granted I should't be so lazy when cleaning the bolt. )
