Probably the same time the 4" rail will be in. 5-6 months. Better order it now.

yeah it works pretty good the way I have it. Its a Samon Mfg Evolution AL short vert grip. The hardware spacing is different so I had to add the short sig rail behind it, cut a relief in the bottom edge of the rail section to "pinch" or clamp the vert grip opposing side that did not have a hardware hole to match. Its solid this way. I wouldnt try using it with just one screw, may come loose. I guess I "bubba'ed" it but I dont have much to work with since Sig is so slow at getting products out there.

Here's a pic of mine with the same vertical grip. I also bubba'd mine on there by cutting reliefs (crescent moon shapes) into my KAC rail panel and the factory hand stop.

are those just standard KAC rail panels?  did you need to modify them any way to get them to fit?  Looks good dude! :)

Yeah they had to be sanded on the back side slightly to lay flat on the rail.

Received my 4" barrel back from ADCO Friday, I absolutely love it. TROS USA 1/2x28 3-lug, Griffin Armament 3-lug mount, SilencerCo Octane 45.

ADCO received the barrel 2/11, I already had a shipping notification email that it was on its way back on 2/16. Very happy with the work. Had it out at the range Saturday, the MPX and Octane 45 both ran flawlessly, even with the 9mm endcap and 5 different kinds of 9mm from 115gr to 165gr. Couldn't be happier with how it turned out.

Also, as a side note...the iron sights were still dead on after the cut/rethread and reinstall of the barrel!

Looks awesome.  I'm getting ready to do the same thing. I'm trying to decide which 3 lug to go with  (tros, hkparts, G.A.)

That is totally awesome.    I had myself convinced I dont need a 3 lug, and thread mount is fine.   Now I am not so sure.
If my Omega 9k ever gets out of ATF jail I'll have to make that call.

Does the handguard get hot after a few mags?

I had the TROS 13.5x1 and now the TROS 1/2x28 - both excellent quality with no slop in the attachment, great fit. Good luck deciding!

Yeah, I went though the same struggle with the 3-lug vs direct thread. Very happy with the 3-lug, solid attachment with no worries of it coming loose while firing.

As far as the handguard getting hot while firing...it has been between 0-30 degrees outside each time I've been to the range with it. So in the winter it seems good to go! The suppressor in these conditions has only been too hot to handle with 115gr, with 147gr and up it remains only warm to the touch. Never felt anything through the handguard as of yet.

I've personally had no blowback issues with either the 8" barrel or the 4" barrel.

It seems like there is less of a "gas cloud" that builds up around the gun during rapid fire with the 4" barrel. However, using subsonic loads, neither barrel length has caused blowback in my direction in a noticeable way. 115gr Federal has a small amount, but nothing between 124gr-165gr has in my experience.

124gr American Eage FMJ
147gr American Eagle FMJ Flat Nose
158gr PPU FMJ

I'm striping my MPX to Cerakote it.

I removed the roll pin in front of the dust cover to slide the rod forward so I can remove the dust cover and spring.

How in the Sam hell do I slide that rod out the front of the upper?

Did you remove the rail?  I'd have to look at mine but I'm guessing the rod may be pressed in?

Interesting, it cycles perfectly in my MPX with a 4" barrel and Octane 45 with 3-lug. I've read that the gas ports are different between Gen1 & Gen 2 guns, what Gen are you running?

ETA: Also using 9mm endcap.

Interesting, I wonder if it's that batch of HUSH 165gr?

I went to the range on my lunch today and ran 15 rounds unsuppressed and 15 rounds suppressed with the HUSH 165gr and the MPX again ran flawlessly.

I actually made it from a CAA VFG and a handstop, two steel pins and some JB weld, a lot of fine sanding, still needs a little touch up. SIG is supposed to introduce something similar in the future but for

I have commented in other threads that blowback was no issue...

But last week my son and I were out shooting steel, doing double taps on multiple targets as fast as we could go.  There was a gas cloud for sure.

8in barrel.  Octane 45 with 45 front cap.
Lawman 147 gr.

We noticed the cloud, but we were having so much fun it really didn't bother us.

The Magpul M-LOK offset rail works perfectly with the MPX. the screws that came with the sig rails fit it perfectly, only thing you have to do is file off the nubs on the back of the mount when it comes. super easy and nice offset to it.

And a 9" BCM 300 BLK M16 which makes the MPX actually feel kind of big and bulky...They are about the same length when the MPX has the MP5 style stock on it.

Edit: Yes, its the M-LOK off set rail.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ORZIK1K?keywords=Magpul%20Industries%20M-LOK%20Offset%20Light&qid=1456967107&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1

you don't need any of the M-Lok hardware though, just two sig screws.

not mine but you can use your imagination. I also dont think the osprey will fit under any hand guard for those who are wondering.

Probably has more to do with light setup, composition and editing skills than "fancy camera".
