I'm looking at purchasing and mounting a Surefire scout light on a 45 degree mount at the 3 o'clock position on the MCX. Is there a specific 45 deg mount that works? The angle of the handguard looks like it wouldn't accept a 45 deg. mount. Or am I just crazy?

I just got a used 300BLK barrel off the EE. The piston doesn't have rings. My 556 barrel's piston has rings. Is this normal?
I haven't seen the 300BLK barrel apart as Sig hasn't shipped my 9" barrel ordered back in February. ETA: The pics in this post show no rings on the piston on the 300BLK: Quoted:
Did they change anything or are the 5.56 and .300 slightly different? 5.56 top and .300 bottom. Ya, I don't think the 556 pistol version is even on the streets yet! I've been trying to hold out for the 300blk pistol version and SBR'ing it. But I'm getting worried that they won't be out until next year when the election panic buying begins. |

You made a statement that the 5.56 pistol must not have hit the street yet and I was just saying that they have and they have been on GB recently in the past. Not sure if any are on GB currently. I have an MCX 11.5" upper that I purchased from GB and just got my form 1 approved.

I've got about 500 rounds through my 11.5" MCX and noticed inside the upper rail where the gas block sits under, there is a small area where the aluminum looks melted. Is this from the heat of the gas escaping and is this normal?

I am thinking where the hot gas purges and it is causing the aluminum to melt. |

Nice...Is that the 300 Blk retical Vcog? If so are you able to use accurately with both supers and subs?

Nice...Is that the 300 Blk retical Vcog? If so are you able to use accurately with both supers and subs? View Quote It is. I zero with 110 gr supersonics and use 220 GR for subs. Zero is at 100 yards. Subs are lower at 100. I'm sure I could use a different GR for each to get it to perfectly line up with the reticle but I haven't messed with that yet. I usually just shoot 110 gr. Subs are just for fun when I throw this upper on my full auto lower. |
