One more question to 556xi owners please = How does the 556xi trigger compare to a "regular" AR trigger in say a 6920?? or to a 516 trigger?? Thanks, Bill

Long but very smooth and crisp.
Nice reset too...
Feels almost like a two stage trigger because of the bolt thing behind the trigger.
But I have not adjusted mine yet.
(Next on my to do list.  )

Def. like it a lot better than a stock AR trigger.
But doesn't come close to my CMC's or Wilson TTU's.

I have the 556xi as well as a 556, and I'd describe the trigger as light, but long and spongy.

I like a good standard (5 lb) AR trigger better. The SIG trigger has a long take-up before you hit the 'stop' where the next pressure increase will fire. However, I noted it was a little smoother after 50 rounds. Maybe it will smooth out more. Bottom line, you can't compare the AR and SIG 556R/556xi triggers because they are different types. The AR trigger as far as I can tell so far would be a lot easier to do rapid fire with. I haven't tried to shoot the SIG fast - I've been sighting it in. I have one more session to make some very small adjustments to the scope, then I'm done. It seems to me that the SIG trigger could benefit from a tad less spring.
