I have gotten a bunch of emails asking if I will sell just the paint that I get from Swiss Arms to refinish the 55x series guns. I have an agreement with Sig/Swiss Arms that allows me to purchase the factory paint for refinishing only, not for resale. I am sorry if it upsets anyone, but I have spent massive amounts of money and time getting the ok to purchase it and training on how to apply it correctly. I can refinish any rifle, pistol or other firearm that any of you may want, but please do not ask me to sell the paint. I am certified by Sig and do work for them directly. Feel free to email or PM me if you want you gun refinished.

Jim

Would you have time to post some pictures of your repaint projects, as well as some SANS toprails that you have welded on to a receiver.
Thanks

Why not try emailing him? Many people, myself included, almost never check PMs. Or better yet, call him. You are better off using a more reliable form of communication.

Front to back-

550 with original matching lower- semi auto
550 with original matching lower- full auto

The 550's were LE guns.

Bare with me guys, trying to get 6 different colors of Cerakote done on 15 guns, and Sig grey on 9 guns. Weather is killing me for paint too. Email me for quotes, but allow 3-5 days for me to get back to you. Computer is working again and trying to catch up with that too.

For anyone that has emailed, I am fielding 5-10 emails a day about the Sig Grey. I will get back to you ASAP. I will be on first vacation in 7 yrs, next week, so if I do not get right back to you, please be patient, I will. If you want the upper and lower to match, I paint both, if you are ok with the colors being slightly different then the upper can be done by itself. The pricing is different along with any extra fab, welding, modifying. This is not a cheap refinish, and I will not do a fast turn around. I have guns that I did 6 yrs ago that still look new, and they are shooters. Yes I can do engraving for NFA. Cost is $90. Thank you to all that have sent emails. Look forward to helping anyway I can.

For those out there that want Sig Black, just talked to Sig, no one knows what the brand is that they use here in US. It is a 3 step process. Zinc parkerizing, primer, then an epoxy/moly/ceramic based paint. Talked to my guy at Cerakote, and he says that it's not theirs. Ilaflon says no to it being theirs. So I just ordered Ilaflon and will do more research and see what I find. Email already sent to contact at Swiss Arms. Wait and see.

Had to email contact at Sig USA to ask if be could get color code. European made guns use Ilaflon, US guns use ????  Should have the correct one on the way. Grey guns I have in shop now are going to paint Monday. Weather is getting better. Will post pics once they are done and reassembled.

It's Sunday, have to spend time with CFO/wife. Found out on Friday that I can get 553 pistols from Sig directly for less than anywhere else. Not many left.

I really wanted a 553 pistol to sbr, but I could not get passed the 922r issue.  Hence the reason you are remodeling my 556 upper.

I have a WCA 551, one of just a handful of the 250 that were green (I think only 12 had the green finish?).   I eventually want to remove and fill-in the top rail and weld on a Swiss diopter sight.  This will mean the upper receiver will have to be refinished.  Can you get this color, even if it is not genuine Ilaflon?  I don't know what the factory in Exeter used, as you can tell it didn't match up the Swiss lower pefectly but did a pretty good job.

That is a Sig color that I can get, but it is a color that very few guns came with. I think the PE guns were that color and the very early 550's. Most likely the color has changed. Since I worked for WCA when those guns were being sold, I do remember the color difference. Best bet is to send it all to me and once mods are done, re finish whole rifle to same color. Email me at  [email protected] and I can get you a quote.

Sorry, been neck deep in paint and repairs. Not only do I paint the Sig grey, but I am also the mid Atlantic warranty/service center for Sig LE/Mil/Gov. Not counting the 100+ civi guns in shop. Paint is almost finished and first batch is cured. Will call you ASAP.
