Sorry. I'm late to the question. I'm using Troy Micros and it honestly is a tad higher than I would like. The only reason I bought the rail last year is because it did have the fish gill hand guard (ewww) and was already placing a Troy order for something else. I do like the rail and once I switched the regular Troy sites for the micros, I'm happy.

Not a good picture, but it's what I have.

Looks great! How's the cheek weld on those sights? I've been hesitating doing a quad rail because AR height sights seem so very very tall.

Select-fire SIG 543:

The camera wasn't able to do it justice, but you get the idea. Really nice rifle, although the rear sling-loop blocks your thumb from operating the change-lever. Are there many of these in America? I suppose there might be a few transferable auto conversions?

My first SIG rifle acquisition, a 522. Here she is on the kitchen table 5 minutes after I got her home today.

Very nice! I do not know of any transferable converted fullauto 540/543 rifles in the US as I believe the semiautos were imported in very small quantities. About a year or two ago, a full auto converted transferable 541 came up for sale. I want to say it was at a James Julia auction. I know there are some 540 and 541 pre-86 dealer sample "keepers" out there. Essentially transferable to dealers only, but unlike post-86 samples they may be retained after giving up ones dealer license. The semiauto 54x series is pretty rare in the US and commands a significant premium. So rare in fact that I have ten steel factory thirty round 540/543 mags that I bought several years ago thinking they would fit my 551 (they don't) and I can't even find a buyer.

I take it you are a dealer in the UK?

That's a shame. I would've liked to purchase one if I ever move back to America (US citizen), but I see some of the prices the non-Americans SIG rifles can make in America (many are fairly cheap in Europe).

No, it sadly takes far too much paperwork to deal with any prohibited weapons. This rifle was at a range in Poland. They had all kinds of exotic, historic, and modern firearms.

522 trying to look as mean as the big boys...I was also trying to get a little artistic with the shots a la Stickman. Kind of fun. I may have to invest in an expensive camera.
