It can be removed without damaging the barrel. |

Very cool. I hadn't even heard about a "3 gun" version. I thought PM when I saw it too.
I wonder why the different designation? Unless one competes in heavy metal class, shooting 3 gun with a 308 is not particularly advantageous. Pretty damn cool looking 716 either way though. I love my 716 patrol and it shoots much more accurately than I would have thought, but the one thing I wish it had was a longer handguard like yours. Since I shoot it off the bench more like a precision gun, I would rather it be set up more like one. it looks kind of strange with it's 16" barrel sticking way out from those carbine handguards. I have always wanted the original version SIG posted on their web site. sig716 Precision Marksman by c.swimm, on Flickr |

Hey, why isn't Taco Bell's slogan "Run for the Border" anymore?

Thank you. You can take the SHR 970 and 516 off that list though as I no longer own them. But in their place you can add, 716, and SSG 3000. |

I would still give just about everything for a 20" Sig 550. I wish these knuckleheads at Sig Sauer would make a clone, a REAL clone.

There's significant differences in he monoblock/trunion, ejector, brass deflector, ejection port, and dustcovers. The whole upper receiver is similar but heavily modified to work with multiple calibers and user-swappable barrels. |
