Here's a mock-up of my plans for my 556:

Wish I could put a Magpul on mine, but being in NY I have to have a stock that is fixed... so my old ZM got the permanent lock-open!

Put a grip pod on.
Last thing I need at the YHM QD mount/FH for the suppressor I have coming.

When evil men advance against me to devour my flesh, when my enemies and my foes attack me, they will stumble and fall.
Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then will I be confident.

I ordered a replacement grip that is the newer version that covers the gap. Now I just need Aurora iron sights when they're available.

Simple, but for the Californians amongst us...

Got to look into a light and forward grip, I guess.

How do I get this stock?

That is a Swiss Arms 551-1SP lower on my 556 upper. The stock will not fit the 556 lower and can only be installed on a Swiss lower. They are available, but will cost you between $1500 to $1800 when you find one.

Lancer.

Check the mag section for info, or google it. Several distributors carry them. My 1st impression is that they are pretty good.

They are Lancer and I bought mine from AIM Surplus.
I had zero issues with them, they run good in my AR and 556.

Actually the one I have is made for airsoft. It is all metal and is virtually identical except for the mounting. I used the pig nose adapter that the ACE side folding adapter uses in order to bolt it on. but it worked well enough.

I was thinking strongly about the YHM side folder, but did not want to drop the INSANE amount of money they want for it only to find I did not like it. So I got the $40 knockoff to try it out. Meh. It is ok, but nothing special, and certainly not worth the $340 YHM wants for it.

I have since changed to the regular stock as seen in the pictures above on this page, and actually I think I will put the CTR back on..although not with the side folding adapter. I don't really care for side folders. 99% of the reason I got it was to shut up the people bitching about no side folder on the Sig 556.
