I'm dropping my FFL/SOT at the end of the year and I have about a dozen post-86 machine guns to get rid of. From what I understand manufacturers and importers can purchase them without a demo letter, correct? What kind of documentation does the ATF require for the transfer? I've also got several unapproved Form 4's out. I've heard that if they are not approved by the time I drop my license I could contact the ATF and have them pushed through, is this correct?

As far as I know you are correct. I bought a postie M16 from a guy dropping his SOT and they did do a rush.

For PS gun just add a letter to the F3 stating you are giving up you FFL/SOT.

sp3worker, I also sent an email. Are you looking for any buyers of your post 86 MGs? Depending on the models I'd definitely be a player.

Why drop it at the end of the year? Why not ride it out until end of June?

Probably cause it (his FFL) expires in December, not June?

As an 07C2 you're much better off making your own, the importers bid the no-letter posties up high on gunbroker.
