Unless the guy trading it in happens to also be a SOT, you can't use F3. F3 is between SOTs only. Government entities could trade it in to you on a tax-free F5. All others pay $200 and use F4.

ok. so the guy is pretty much stuck with it unless HE finds someone who wants it bad enough to go through all the bullshit for a used suppressor.

There isn't much market for used cans. I'm doing a trust to trust right now on a can I have. Lucky I got a really good deal new, so I'm not loosing too much on it.

Make a offer taking into account the tax. If he really wants to get out of it he might make you a great deal. As a deer it's easier to sell a used can.

I assume you meant to say "as a dealer it is easier to sell a can"
If it is a decent can and I need it, I would be interested. I can buy Form 4 direct from him as a type 1 dealer. |
