I have a question about p what background qualifications are required. I can't find anything but I was wondering if having a misdemeanor would reject an application.

If you can legally own a firearm, you can have an FFL. It's no different, the prohibitions are the same.

No it's the same for buying a gun as getting a ffl. I have a misdemeanor and I have just got approved for mine.
