It's looking very good. I am Not sure about the sling position in front of the trigger guard. I will have to try it out.

A folding charging handle would be great.

A buddy of mine has a 1st gen Hi Point. This stock would make it a bit more useful.

Wonder why they couldn't have used a Glock or Beretta magwell.

If I remember correctly from past threads on the subject there are blocks that are integral to the receiver itself that make a glock or beretta magwell impractical since you would have to machine them away first and this is meant to be drop in.

HiPoint built the receiver to only accept single stack mags.  To get anything bigger in there would require machining the receiver and reengineering the trigger bow.

One alternative is modifying single-stack feed drums, like the Glock, or using a 1911 mag catch in the .45", and using the existing .45" ACP drum.

The other would be engineering a new double to single stack mag, like the double stack Makarovs, which had a long single stack portion on top - so the trigger wouldn't have to be reengineered, presumably.  HighTower have stated they left room in the magwell for such an eventuality, and also claim they will offer a 1911 mag catch in the .45" model.
