A previous owner had it done.

Story I heard on it was that it was a prototype from saber with a milled out forward grip and a 1/2x28 threaded barrel, no idea if this is true though

Well hell, looks like you did a damn good job. When you said rattle can, most of those jobs are just tape up the optic and spray all the things randomly.

Don't need to spray graffiti on your Steyr Aug stock. Here you go (click on the link):

I used ceracote c, the air dry product
It was super easy, just follow the directions for de-greasing and apply over the original finish using an air brush
First coat, apply decals, second coat, more decals third coat then peel off decals
Since you did not want a camo pattern, it would be one coat only
Ceracote c is heat resistant, so I did the barrel as well
It has held up perfectly even after years of hard use

When you try to sell it and get $400 less than you could have, remember that.

Or don't sell it.

I rattle can a few guns. But it's always guns that are gonna get used and banged around. Not on safe queens or range queens.

Black NATO stock I sprayed with Testors Model Master spraycans.
Wanted to see how it holds up.
Did a AR the same way a few months ago but was curious as to how well it would stick to the polymer.
Plan on redoing it & cutting some Kryptek stencils.
Also testing out some decals I printed up.

Thanks.
Basic plastic model kit spray.

Again I really do not know how well they hold up yet.  But I knew they were pretty close to the colors I wanted.  And these were in the limited selection that the local hobby shop had (Hobby Lobby - man I miss the days when mom & pop hobby stores were everywhere).  The actual color selection is pretty vast but you now have pretty much order them online.

But for the price of like $20 for all 3 cans I figured it was worth a shot.  And will probably still look good with the expected wear.

Base color was Testors Model Master FS 30266 Afrika Mustard
With FS 34087 Olive Drab & FS 30140 Light Earth oversprays.

Plan was to then cover this with a Kryptek stencil & reverse order spray - with the Afrika Mustard color last & over most (I'm in Arizona now).

I really want to cerakote it but wanted to play around with it first before I shelled out the cash for those colors.
Still really thinking of getting the receiver & barrels done locally in at least a solid FDE or some type of desert brown/dirt color.
