That does sound very strange. You might want to check your gas settings and make sure that it's not under gassed, although that's highly unlikely to be causing the feeding issues. It really sounds like you just got a lemon. I honestly wonder whether you shouldn't just contact keltec and ask them for a complete replacement.

That's really disappointing. Keltec's designs are really neat, but the problems that so many people have across all models of their guns doesn't inspire me to go out and purchase from keltec. Maybe Ruger will rip off the RDB design (like they typically do after keltec makes something innovative), then I can deal with Ruger knowing it will at least do what it's supposed to do.

Check your gas setting.

I would go 4 positions out from full in.

Could be.

I am not sure what Perfecta is 223 or 5.56....I would set your gas with 5.56 spec ammo...and when you shoot 223...add 2 more clicks.

I only shoot 5.56.

Yep, check this subforum, it's still on the front page.

But long story short, it was the gas setting. Ended up increasing gas by two clicks and it ran 300ish rounds flawlessly, consisting of Perfecta 55gr FMJ, Remington 45 gr JHP, PMC 55gr FMJ, American Eagle 55gr FMJ, and ZQi 62gr M855.

I was able to get it zeroed too.

Great gun!

I am going to go until 1000 rounds before I clean it, see if it has any problems.

Yup! The RDB has a ridiculously long stroke on the action. The mag catch is still a whole shell length ahead of the end of travel. You can be severely under gassed and still get lock-back. Glad you got it running!
