I had been excited about these since they were announced. I had an ACOG mounted with the Steyr long tall rail and while useable it was not ideal, the CD rail with integrated ACOG mount is much lower and brings the optic back a little farther which helps with the short eye relief on the 4x ACOGs. Quality appears to be every bit as good as the OEM rail.

Previous rail with GDI mount.

Corvus Defensio rail.

My rail arrived today as well, and we have the same set up! I am really enjoying this rail and really like the QD mount placement rather than the Gearhead works takedown bar.

The machining on those looks amazing.

Isn't the agog mounted a little too far back?

Sure looks that way but that's where the eye relief was set best for me.

Actually, I brought it forward a couple of spaces and it is still comfortable.

Another neat feature with this rail is that it allows an ACOG to be attached directly to it without a mount.  This probably lowers the optic 1/4" to 3/8"
