We ordered these well over a year ago and because they were in Israel, it took this long to receive them. We ordered both the standard Tavor and this X95 for an agency demonstration that we've been promising for months but now we can finally go forward with it.

I haven't even had a chance to test-fire it yet but I can tell you already like this model over the standard Tavor. The first thing that struck me is the magazine release is located in spot that's actually easy to get to. We don't use these to shoot bad guys but I can see how the standard Tavor's magazine release can be a bit of a pain for those that do use these on a daily basis, especially if you've were used to either a Galil or M4 platform. The rear portion of the weapon is still a bit heavy and I am curious to see how it feels under full-auto fire.

Here are some pics....

Nice! Now on these, where exactly is the mag release? Is that it about the trigger?

The only hand guards that came with it are the ones in the picture. We've been so busy that I still haven't had a chance to shoot it, let alone see what parts fit with the Tavor

I'm really interested to see how these turn out. I'm definitely interested in a smaller 5.56.

Actually I meant the AUG/Tavor type trigger guard. Supposedly they were coming with both and they are interchangeable on the x95. Was typing so fast yesterday missed the typo.

Did we get an answer on barrel length? Is this an sbr?
I've got to say it's appealing.
I've only bench fired my Tavor so I can't address the mag release issue but if I get a chance I'll compare the release between my aug and my Tavor.

The regular Tavor's have been holding well since being put on the range. I know some part on it has broke since going on the line but nothing critical. I will find out this afternoon.

EDIT: The broken part that I stated above is from an older Tavor that's been on the line, not the new X95.

13" barrel. It's not an SBR, it's a post sample machine gun.

The trigger guard doesn't look like it has a lot of room for gloves. I'd want to swap it out for the full hand version.

Would you say the gun is more well balanced as a result?   How about the length of pull?

The weapon is noticeably heavier in the rear. I thought that the rear being much heavier would cause the muzzle to rise easier but when shooting, it feels as if it's balanced.

Even though there is a full and semi selector, the trigger is still a two-stage in the full-auto mode to allow shooters to squeeze off single rounds easily.

I know that controls like a mag release can be quite preferential and based on muscle memory...but...am I the only one who really, really likes the mag release on the semiauto Tavor?

Most bullpups are bricks, I found that even though they are heavier than your average M4, their compact package is still less obtrusive and easier to operate with.

I think it's just a "seat" or "pocket" to catch the charging handle when being charged.  If it's like the Tavor's CH, It kind of rocks back before engaging the carrier.

They have to be in the 20,000-30,000 I believe. I will ask the staff tomorrow to verify.
