I plan on buying a 16" OD Green Tavor in the future and I was curious if I would be able to use my TLR 2 HL on top of the Midwest Industries Extended hand guard? I want to add the laser/light combo on the top side of the hand guard if possible to keep the lower section for a grip. I plan on adding the streamlight pressure switch but I'm worried there won't be enuff room before it hits the rail. If I need to go with an 18" Tavor I will, but I would rather have the 16". Maybe somebody with this setup could chime in. I would also consider the Manticore ARClight XTL Tavor Forend as an option if the TLR-2 HL will fit on the top of the hand guard. Thx

You can mount the 2.1" rail section rail on the sides of the handguard. The 2.1" rail section is a little too long to mount on the top or on the angled sides of the top piece. It can be cut to be fitted for your use. I went  with the internal light mount for mine and mounted a 2.1" rail for an additional accessory.

Are you saying the 2.1" manticore rail section needs to be modified to fit on the top of the handguard to fit properly?

My apology. I failed to mention that mine is the Midwest Industries' Extended handguard. Their XL handguards, which are similar in length to the Manticore ARClight XTL , are for the 18" TAVOR only. The 2.1" rail section fits fine on those. It is just that they are a bit too long for the Extended handguard top section.

Sven, I have a few more questions if you don't mind answering

1) Do you have any pics of a factory 16" tavor with your ARClight XTL Tavor Forend installed? I want to see how much the stock flash hider sticks out of the front of the ARClight XTL Tavor Forend. The pics I have seen looks like an aftermarket flash hider installed.

2) Is there a plate that can be installed to the front of the forend to cover it up if you don't plan on running a flash light installed inside the ARClight XTL Tavor Forend? I would rather have the open are closed off.

3) Your Internal Pressure Switch Mount kit will keep my TLR-2 HL pressure switch on or off each time it is pressed?

Thx

Arclight XTL. The TLR would fit fine on the top. Does on mine. Can get a picture for you tomorrowish if you'd like.

Here is a pic of a 16" gun with the 5 slot rail segment installed on top-= plenty of room for the streamlight.
