I thought I have read where some of you guys with Aimpoint pros have removed the spacer. I have removed it and then added it back several times to try to see what I like best. It's a coin toss. I find no real differance with my head height and hold. What says the hive . Thanks Wardawg

The AUG's height over bore is close enough to an AR's, if not identical, that you shouldn't have to change anything. Use it as you prefer.

If you're comfortable shooting w/o the spacer, I'd remove it. Getting the optic closer to the bore is always preferable.

I liked my Sight lower and ran my aim point T1 without a spacer.

Run mine with mount ,when on the Aug A3.  Seams perfect for me . FYI the Aimpoint pro with mount co witnesses with the flip up sights on a Tavor .

I like mine without the spacer, though I may have to switch back to it when I add buis if I want an easy cowitness.

I run my optics lower than AR height despite them supposedly being too close to matter.   Maybe its the comb of the stock.
