Pete- will this affect the current prices of your remaining a3s?
Link Posted: 8/1/2014 12:26:09 PM EDT
[#2]
So the 2599 price is full retail I assume for an M1 w/ optic.

It looks like you can get the M1 with optic for 100 less if you get the 1.5x tube instead of the 3x tube.
Those are "MSRP" prices.

A3's had a 2295 MSRP and we all know what they really sold for.

Any news on the 500 or so A2 style optics you mentioned before???

Thanks for the update!

In addition to the question re the A2 style optic, is there going to be an option to buy with a 20" barrel in lieu of 16"?

Pete, I might be getting ahead of things here but I'll email you about getting a green one of these and converting it into an F88SA2 clone (i.e F88SA2 style custom rail and 20" barrel with bayonet lug.)

I'm glad to hear a Green NATO stock is coming. I never realized you guys were based out of NC. I really like the look of your full rail Aug(can't think of the name ATM). I may be a customer for one in the future, esp. If I can get one with a green NATO stock. Are the NATO stocks still not capable of keeping the bolt open when the mag empties?

The bolt always locks open on an empty magazine on all models of the AUG.

Only the new A3 has the bolt release button built into the stock.
All earlier models of the AUG required you to pull back on the charging handle to release the bolt... as is the case with the current NATO stocks.

Steyr gets so much right that its hard for me to see how they can get simple things wrong.  the ADI housings have always been spot on...streamlined, small piece of rail on top for an RDS instead of all over it like Steyr did, keeps the backup sights.  hell, even the lightening cutouts to reduce weight

Thats another major reason I'm considering a second AUG, I have magazines out the ass and I like the platform.

It's been two weeks!

I'm interested in a Mud or Green 20" with the short rail. I'd also need it to be in left hand though, if you can make that happen Pete.

Might need a bayonet lug on it too, just because Clinton wouldn't let me have one on my first AR.

I did see some standard A3's for $1529. Best price I've ever seen on a new gun. Heck, even used guns sell for more than that.

That same guy selling the $1529 A3's has some M1's up for lower prices now, probably MSRP if I remember right. Still higher than Pete I'm assuming.

A couple of those A3's he's selling have 18" barrels too, for the same $1529 price. Damn it's tempting...
