http://www.bullpupshoot.com [email protected] Want to shoot guns? Want to shoot zombies? Want to shoot full auto weapons? Then BULLPUP SHOOT 2014 is for you! WHEN: September 27th, 2014 9am to 5pm WHERE: Aurora Sportsmen's Club 7641 Rueff Rd. Waterman, Illinois 60556 COST: FREE to enter, visit the vendors, and check it out! $35 to participate in multi-stage zombie shoot with your own rifles, pistols and shotguns and ammunition. (Pre-register at www.thezombieshoot.comhttp:/WWW.THEZOMBIESHOOT.SQUARESPACE.COM for only $25!) Full auto and rare weapons available to try out at two locations on the range for cost of supplied ammo. Aurora Sportsmen's Club (ASC) and Bullpup Shoot have partnered up to host a dual event this year at the Aurora Sportsmen's Club range in Waterman Illinois. The event will feature a multi-stage Zombie Shoot where you bring your own firearms and fight stage after stage to survive the zombie hordes, including a ride in an armored vehicle down the length of the 600 yard range to shoot targets on the move! The event is very popular and fills up fast, and we HIGHLY recommend pre-registering at http:/WWW.THEZOMBIESHOOT.SQUARESPACE.COM for this part of the event. Eye and ear protection are required, $25 pre-registraion, $35 day of the event. Some stages will have firearms and ammunition available in case you don't have your own. In addition, two bays this year will feature a host of full auto, suppressed, and rare weapons supplied by Vendors that you can try out. Want to shoot a machinegun? Want to shoot a suppressed subgun? Want to shoot a belt fed weapon? This is your chance! A host of Vendors will be on site under "the big tent" including Manticore Arms Inc., RATWORX, IWI USA, Steyr USA, K&M Aerospace, and many others. Vendors will have new products on display and a host of items on sale including bullpup rifles and accessories (all Illinois and federal laws apply). Now for those wondering, what exactly is a bullpup rifle? A bullpup rifle is simply a rifle where the magazine and action of the rifle are behind the pistol grip and trigger instead of in front. This allows the rifle to be much shorter while still having all the features of a "standard" rifle. Bullpup Shoot is dedicated to getting together the newest, coolest, and best out there in the bullpup rifle world all in one place at one time! Concessions will be available for purchase by South Moon Barbeque and Pub West including BBQ, pizza, sandwiches, and beverages. Accommodations are available at the Super 8 in Dekalb, Illinois at an event rate of $65+tax per night on Friday Sept. 26th and Saturday Sept. 27th. When you book your reservation just let them know you are part of the Bullpup Shoot for the event rate. Dekalb Super 8 Motel 800 W. Fairview Dr. (Near junction of Interstate I-88 and Annie Glidden Rd) Dekalb, IL 60115 Phone: 1-815-748-4688 Fax: 1-815-748-4688 For additional info please visit http://www.bullpupshoot.com or email us at [email protected] |

View Quote They are having some issues with www.thezombieshoot.com at the moment, Nancy at ASC said they are working with the domain provider to get it straightened out in the next few days. Hopefully by next monday it will be up and running! I will post when it is active and good to go for registration! |

I was not joking when I said you get to shoot out of a moving armored vehicle on the 600 yard line stage! www.thezombieshoot.com is now live, registration is not open yet, but you can see the vendors, exhibits, and shooting stages. Here is a quick FAQ to some commonly asked questions:
Is the event for bullpup rifles only? Can I bring my AK/AR/pistol/shotgun/etc? The event is not limited to just bullpups, feel free to bring your AK, AR, pistol, shotgun, etc as there are several stages you can shoot in the Zombie Shoot for each type of weapon! Should I bring ammo? Will ammo be available at the shoot? Bring ammo for any weapons you plan to shoot, 300 rounds should suffice unless you plan to shoot all the stages multiple times. Ammo will be available at the shoot, mostly common calibers (.223, 9mm, 12 gauge, etc) Can I bring my kids? Is there an age limit? There is no age restriction, bringing your kids is fine! We do recommend bringing hearing protection for kids, as it can get a bit loud at times! Do I need a FOID Card to show up? Bring a valid form of ID and you are good to go, no need for a FOID card! I hear Illinois gun laws are bad. Is this true? Anything I should be worried about? Despite the reputation, the state isn't bad- most of the stupidity is in Cook County. Here is a quick guide on what to do when traveling/transporting firearms through the state: Keep all firearms cased and unloaded when traveling. CCW only if you have an Illinois CCW, there is no reciprocity at the moment. For simplicity leave the NFA stuff at home. Illinois does allow SBR's now, if you *really* want to bring it, make sure you fill out and get your ATF 5320.20 approved and bring a copy. Aurora, Illinois and Chicago/Cook County have Assault Weapon Bans on the books. The rest of the state is fine. The Illinois State Police have a good reference PDF on Illinois gun laws, here is a link: http://isp.state.il.us/docs/ptfire.pdf (If in doubt about anything, please contact the Illinois State Police with any questions.) |

So how awesome is the facility for Bullpup Shoot 2014?
In the picture below, see that black rectangle? Inside that rectangle is SIX cars! ...and that WHOLE RANGE will be filled with shooting stages! www.bullpupshoot.com |

I started the original conversation on AR15 about getting Bullpup aficionados together in one place. This is CRAP! We were starting something that could become very special. Ratworx & Manticore provided the initiative to sponsor the first two events and this is a great way to kill the Bullpup event by having two events on the same weekend. There's more to this story. Personalities bigger than the room?

All flights to Chicago O'Hare and Midway got cancelled today No Bullpup Shoot for me this year View Quote Yeah we just heard, some idiot contractor for the FAA decided today of all days that he would torch the computers at the Aurora Air Traffic Control center to protest the fact he was being transferred from Illinois to Hawaii We have a Vendor that had shipped his gear and was flying in to O'hard, and now is actually rerouting to fly in to Des Moines, IA and have someone drive all night to pick him up so he can make it. It certainly put a crimp in several people's plans to make it out.... If it is any consolation we will have the show next year (and the year after that, and so on), and even if you can't make it out we will have plenty of pictures of the show and have all our own new Manticore products up on our website come Saturday morning. |
|
The range is all set up, we are packing up all our new, amazing products, and we might even get an hour or three of sleep tonight!
I also just got word that Marc Krebs is so excited about the show that he has decided to bring out t his PKM belt fed and several suppressed AKs and let people try them out! Yeah, techincally not bullpups, but I never met someone who turned down a chance to shoot a PKM either! |
