THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT
just tooling around on GB as i saw an idle computer in my house and no one to tell me NO and i found an msar w/forward assist!
i didn't know it came w/one, but i don't know much anyway. i looked at all the other postings and no FA on any others!
i think it's the second listing; it's under $1100 currently.
just trying to pass on good info.

The generation 2 had them as well. A lot of people complained about them simply because the AUG never had one. I believe that's why the generation three MSAR came out without. I've never touched my forward assist and I doubt that it is needed on the rifle but on the other hand it certainly has never hurt anything either. I do believe that the gen 2 and 3 MSAR rifles were the best ones made. Mine has been perfect from day one.

Steyr AUG's all have forward assists. On the A1 there was a little button on the charging handle to engage it. A2/A3's, you just tip the charging handle towards the receiver to engage the forward assist.

Sorry, I guess I was thinking more as in the AUG never had one like the MSARs AR15 type.
