is it easy to find the different length barrels ? Yes and No. Yes if you have the money for currently available barrels (steyr AUSTRIA made barrels). New barrels by FN will be available very soon. US made barrels are the only 922r legal barrels you can put on an A3, which currently limits you to the 16" A3 barrel (until the FN barrels are released shortly).
is $1999 a good price ? That is a buy RIGHT NOW price, though prices seem to be really high right now for some weird reason... last year 2k for a new A3 was the normal price, not so right now... .
i just got a new job recently and was thinking of getting one of these as a gift to myself. You won't be disappointed.
is there anything else i need to know about them? Proprietary magazines, but you probably already know that.

I'll save my thoughts on the people who can spend any amount of dollars on a rifle but can't devote 20 minutes to getting their body in shape for another thread. -skinnysarge79

Wait until Steyr re-releases them. Will provide more choices and likely drive down the price of the existing Steyr/Sabre A3's.

Personally, I'd wait for the new A3. Even if it's a bit more, you are getting a CHF FN barrel.

I found one for $1999 as well locally here. I'm thinking of picking it up if I can swing it...just not sure how good of a price it is with the new A3's coming out. If they are going for $2300-$2400...it may drive the price of older A3's up (this one looks unfired). I've wanted an AUG for a long time so this may be a good opportunity to finally get one.

They're being released, so I won't buy it until it's under 2000 price, which is normal a few years ago. Once new stuff floods the market, the price will level off to a price point that supply matches demand. I'd wait and see for now.
