I have VOWED to purchase the first lefty friendly bullpup available that can be fed using my rather large collection of AR mags.

Couple that with my love for the Resident Evil movie trilogy, and I'd buy one of these in a heartbeat!
As for now we are not expressing any any interest in products that may or may not be in the works. We're always looking to purchase new and improved existing products, but prefer to avoid the boundless speculation over unavailable ideas. Thanks.

thanks for the update. that is great news! As soon as you get them in country I'll buy a nice amount of them. I'm not overly familar with your products. do you sell via distributor or do you sell direct to FFL's?

if so..... well my company is looking for new product lines.

FS2000 can't take Magpul PMags or other polymer magazine accept for the E-Mag, but than again neither can the Tavor from what I understand.

The TPD AXR is the only rifle right now that can take GI Metal Mags and Polymer Mags. The STG-556E4 will be able to accept both as well from what I understand.

This is going to be so predictable. The bullpuppies will dance around and seal clap like little school girls right up until the first release date is missed. Then 1/3 will turn on Charles Daley. When the gun finally is ready for release and the MSRP is published, the other 1/3 will bitch and complain that it should only be a $900 gun. Shortly there after at least 2/3 of the remaining 1/3 will stop posting about it for the most part because they never really intended to buy one to begin with.

The Tavor is what other bullpups aren't. Its simple where the others are more complicated designs, from what I understand the trigger is not as mushy as the F2K and AUG as well. I had an aug and it was a big dissapointment because of the horrible trigger, my FS2000 began to melt from the inside out of the grip and a friend broke off his charging handle. I would like to have a reliable simple bullpup rifle on the US market and hopefully Mr. Kassner will come through for us and bring us a Tavor. 5.56 chamber and a chrome lined bore its easy to screw up a nice rifle with a cheap barrel. I'm pretty excited about this news though and I know plenty of people in the states will pick one of these up because of how cool they look and the fact they take M16 mags, so long as it doesn't break the 2,000 price barrier. I would pay 2,000 for this rifle, but there are a lot of cheap guys that expect to trade you some baseball cards and a comic book for a new rifle and they will be dissapointed no doubt. Also I hope its got a pic rail instead of the integrated optic, this would make them about $500 cheaper and we could put whatever optics we wanted to on them

Only thing that concerns me is that the receiver appears to be surrounded in polymer unlike the AUG design.

Excellent post!

I really hope CD develops a good trigger for the rifle. The horrible trigger on the FS2000 is one of the main reasons I opted for the FN PS90 instead. The bulky forward grip on the FS2000 was another disappointment, and hopefully Magpul will reintroduce the Monolith Arms tri-rail. Then I may add one to my collection. I'm sure Charles Daly Inc is planning on introducing the Tavor at a competitive price or else I doubt they'd bother. And like Nate 762 said, I would like to have a railed version to lower cost and give us the option to add our own choice of optic.

Here's another vote for the version with a picatinny rail instead of the integrated sight.

Two reasons. I don't like the Mepro or MARS. Cost will be that much less.

Well if that is your budget I don't think we have to worry about you buying *any* bullpup in the near future!

Well, it's all relative, isn't it? Around $1,000 can mean $1,200. I picked up a MSAR for slightly over $1,400. Obviously, if I can't convince myself something is worth the sticker price, I'm not going to buy it; hence I don't own a FS2000, a Nighthawk, or a Microtech switchblade. I'm going to have a hard enough time keeping the wife from finding out about the MSAR. I'm still not out of the woods. Plus the scope I want is over $1,500, so that really puts me in a bind for a while.
I have yet to be convinced that polymer has the same materials cost as unicorn ivory hand-carved by elves.

The price will be where it needs to be!

More than that I cannot say at this time.

Thank you again, Mr. Kassner, for being one of the most open and communicative manufacturers out there today. When the entire industry sits in their offices and refuses to engage with the consumer, seeing you out there on various forums listening to the public is a damn refreshing change of pace. It really does mean alot to know that you're out there listening and giving feedback.

And those new Jerichos that just came in look pretty nice!

Are you guys refering to the optical rail mount that several of us mentioned? If so, you guys do realize that the IDF uses a CTAR with an ACOG on a picatinny rail mount as a squad level marksman, right? I believe every squad has one or two. I hope you aren't refering to needing a MARS or Mepro sight to be "pure".

Me personally, I would accept any IDF standard issue configuration as "pure".

If that isn't what you were refering to, then I would be in the same boat as you in terms of not wanting some kind of wacky new creation.

A CTAR with a standard A2 permentantly attached flash hider would probably be 16" since the barrel is nearly 15" already and I know an A2 flash hider will make a 14.7" barrel meet the 16" requirement.

Thanks in advance to CD for taking on this project. I don't yet own any CD products, but this will surely become my first one.

Well the Tavor got real high marks from the IDF guys after Gaza and I guess that's really saying something since they haven't really been known to hold back critical comments.

Must handle dust like a champ and if there is one thing hard on firearms it's sand. Haven't read a range report yet from a guy in Canada that had failures/malfunctions.

Love the Micro. If you could SBR that would be a fun little pistol caliber carbine.

Yeah the Berret versiong was kind of an abortion, I want the real military stock and a 16 ir 18 inch barrel with no permanently atatched flash hider as I may want a suppressor later on my rifle and a permanent flash hider is a pain to deal with. I also want the barrel to be a 5.56 chamber so I dont have to worry about stuck cases in a 223 chamber since all I shoot is M193 and M855 (SS109) and I have had stuck cases in 223 chambers and will never buy another 223cal "assault rifle" again because theres no reason to buy a military style rifle for defense or duty use if you don't trust it to work with the ammo you will most likely use. I also hope it has a chrome lined barrel since there may be no or little aftermarket support later for these and I like that chrome lined barrels last 2 or more times as long as non chrome ones. If its got a good barrel and a pic rail on it so I can choose the optice I need and configure the rifle for the purpose I need I will buy 2, even if they are $2100 a piece. I have been wanting a reliable simple bullpup with a good trigger for a long time and I hope this one goes all the way and is done right, I know CD did good on their AR15 line of rifles and I hope this turns out as good or better than that did for them.

Yeah, that.

And I wouldn't object to a MARS if the price is right. To each his own. There are plenty of FAL owners who want a SUIT on top. Personally, I think they suck, and thus my FAL is iron sights only (as God intended). Some guys like the original '03 Springfield and some guys want to put it in a plastic stock, refinish it, and throw a scope on it.

Lumpy you could say that about ANY firearm on this site.

1/3 of the members bitch about any gun that is over $900

1/3 will bitch at anything that is not a AR-15 or 1911

1/3 will never buy it, but just want to bitch

Just want to say +1 for the real IWI IDF version in semi-auto basically. 5.56x45mm chamber.

Bring out options though of course like the new foregrip rails. I definitely want the ability to add a VFG to it.

I also would like to know what you mean? What would a "pure" version look like to you, keeping in mind the civilian commercial requirement of a 16" barrel?
