Hi, i would really like to get a bullpup rifle but i really have no idea what is out there, do you think we could get a stickied thread detailing what is available/
thanks the only ones i am aware of are .... bushmaster m7 aug and aug clones the new keltec that is supposed to come out |

To the best of my knowledge:
Current Production MSAR STG-556 TPD AXR FNH FS2000 FNH PS90 Walther G22 Desert Tactical Arms SRS AMP DSR-1 Barrett M-99 Barrett M-97 To be Released Kel-Tec RFB Steyr AUG A3 Out of Production but Realistically Attainable Bushmaster M-17s Bushmaster ARM pistol Norinco type 86S Valmet M82 Mossberg Maverick Bullpup shotgun Out of Production and Rare GIAT FAMAS Century imported under 1000 in the late 80s prior to the import ban, I've heard 500 and 900, not sure exactly how many but good luck finding one SA-80/L85 Apperantly there are three semi auto SA-80/L85s in the US, two standard configuration one set up as a LSW. I'm actually fairly familiar with the convoluted story behind those but that's another post. Walther WA2000 less then 200 produced, available if you're willing to drop $75k I'm pretty sure that's all the bullpups that have been on the US market, if I missed any please correct me. |

As far as assault rifles go, I think the realistic list of weapons available in the US is:
Steyr AUG/USR MSAR STG-556, E4 TPD AXR Kel-Tec RFB Bushmaster M17S FNH PS90 FNH FS2000 The rest mentioned so far are either stupendously expensive (collectors only) or other weapon types like precision rifle, shotgun. Really not that much to choose from when you think about it. Where's our damn Tavor? |

You can also put a Mini 14, Mini 30, or 10/22 in a Muzzlelite bullpup stock.
There is also the Century Arms AK bullpup and the hard to find KVAR bullpup stocks for the AK. |

 ) EATA: Found the tool (actually, was told where it was in the new system ) and will tack this for a while for more input, then I will replace it with a new thread with a cleaned-up/organized list compiled from all the info submitted.

Jager AP85 FAMAS copy in .22lr HK CAWS bullpup shotgun HK OWIC 20mm bullpup Barrett XM500 Barrett M95 M14 bullpup I cannot think of the name but there was a pump action .308 bullpup that was imported from Germany about 10 years ago. I remember they were expensive. |

If you guys feel like updating/creating Wikipedia articles on weapons that are missing from this list, I'm sure there are those who would appreciate it. I'm not sure how many Wikipedia-haters there are here...
I think I might start an article on the TPD AXR. Currently, the TPD AXR and MSAR STG-556 are only mentioned in the Steyr AUG article. |

The Kintrek KBP-1 is a .22 LR Bullpup semi-automatic rifle chambered for the .22 LR cartridge. It was manufactured for only 1 year (1991) by Kintrek Incorporated in Owensboro, Kentucky. (Wikipedia)
Really interesting rifle. Pivoting sweeper pushes spent rounds into a disposal chute to the bottom of the stock. Plastic magazines have a spiral wound spring that pulls the follower up. Squeeze grip safety. |

Here is one, a custom all-billet cnc rifle, takes 10-22 magazines, with an adjustable pull weight electronic trigger like the Pardini and Match Guns olympic semiauto pistols.

did you guys get your Highstandards to run? I heard they were always troublsome and could never really be made 100% reliable. I would be glad to be wrong. Course, I would probably just Bullpup a S12 before I got a HS, since I'm already into that. |

Some say... that parts are NOT available & the gun is a collector's piece. Charles Cholly Steen of SARCO has 400 complete* parts kits available for the 10B series... receiver, furniture, barrel etc. The ONLY exclusion is the proverbial *KEL-LITE & mounting bracket. I tried to talk him into building those kits into guns, but he said that he already had too many irons in the fire. Fine... that gives me a lifetime's worth of parts in case something breaks or just wears out. I've owned two 10As & two 10Bs & never broke anything. Like a Benelli M1 Super90, they do not prefer "light" tactical loads & run like a champ on moderate to high powered slugs & buckshot. You can't easily run a conventional 12ga shotgun with one hand, but the High Standard bullpups are designed to be fired that way if necessary... cuffing a perp or firing from an open cruiser window with the other hand on the steering wheel. These are highly underrated weapons & those who know, covet them. Most of the bullpups you see at gun shows these days are beat to hell & mint examples command a premium. |
