Love it so far. The view through the optic is very Eotech-ish which is nice. I actually like the fewer options when it comes to brightness. They seemed to choose them well. Mine is set on Medium (2) right now and its perfect for bright daylight use. The auto on/off feature is completely unobtrusive and if you didn't know better, you would just think the sight was on all the time...It comes on that fast when you barely move it.

It was test fired with 200 rounds (subsonic ammo I should mention) as fast as they could be fired through the gun, and you could still hold the forend comfrtably. We fired 2,500+ rounds through the gun on Saturday at the shoot over the course of 8 hours, and it was only in the early afternoon around 2pm that it finally got hot enough it was uncomfortable to the touch. You could put your hand to it for 2-3 seconds and it wouldn't burn you, it just was uncomfortable- it would have been fine with shooting gloves. This was not all subsonic ammo either, that was gone by mid morning and we were firing full power 9mm through it. |

Just another good old boy in a clapped-out pickup truck. Probably got an old Mossberg behind the seat.....
I had this out in the woods yesterday and it is just stupid easy to get hits on trees at a variety of distances. My range (beaver flooded valley) is full of standing dead trees that make great reactive targets, and the subsonic 147 gr. Federal flat-point rounds make a satisfying "thump" when they hit. This is the most fun I have had plinking in a long time.

full disclosure this is not a posed pic but a screengrab of me talking to a guy off camera. Should also mention i generally don't dress this tacticool to shoot not sure about the chest rig set up it's a cheap one I was trying out. Final setup for my AUG A3. Really loving the 2020 Precision tr3g rail. Looks and feels like the classic AUGs with the benefit of a variable scope. Have a Bushnell AR223 mounted on low vortex rings.

Exercise Wallaby 2014 marks the 24th year of the SAF's training at the SWBTA, and is a testament to the close and long-standing defence relationship between Singapore and Australia.

We only use the cartridge pouches when using blanks, makes collecting the expended plastic blanks a lot easier. Also this is so as to not have piles of expended cartridges all over training areas. |
