Sparks how do you like the WML in that location? I've been thinking about ordering one thinking that I can actuate the pressure switch with my trigger finger when the light is needed. Not too sure though and would like some of your feedback.

Also a pic as to not be a free loader.

As far as running it this style with the trigger finger running the light and salute finger running the trigger.. It works ok takes a bit of getting use to but feels much like running a double fingered trigger on a paintball gun..

I run it with my other hand wrapping the trigger guard. It lets you cradle the Aug and keep really good control while turning corners and also allows you to use your normal trigger finger by far better then the above method. Still not the perfect set up but one that is not bad..

By far the best is running a pressure pad in this location this way I can wrap the gun more comfortable and still have all hands feeling natural while operating the gun and light..

Not sure if that helps.. The only thing about the Aug and Tavor that is tuff is mounting a light effectively were you can run it fast on and off while be concertante on the gun I am sure others might have better set ups then what I got but so far these to have worked the best..

Here is my Steyr Aug A3 in Danish flectarn camo
The paint is Cerakote C heat resistant, air dry paint
The Aug gets very hot after just a few magazines
Cerakote c is perfect for this

Thanks for the write up sparks, I keep going back and forth on the wml or a surefire mini scout like you have on your other rifle with a click tail cap and just dealing with the always on or off.

Much appreciated Spark! Renesis knows my gun hack jobs are second to none lol

I found this part on GB one day and decided to give it a shot:
http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=419463072

Very straight forward with the exception of how you have to splice into the weaponlight switch (they use the inner core for positive and a ground sheath to close the circuit). This means you have to ground one wire to the exposed sheath while not touching the inner core. If you take your time and cut cleanly this shouldn't be a problem :-). After that its as simple as cutting the wires coming from the new switch to length and a little glue to keep the button in place. Also note if you keep the wires too long they may get jammed up in the action make sure the wires are going under the barrel and don't have too much slack to ride up (Experience learning).

Thought I would add one more of the finished product (Exception that Geissele needs to get their ass in gear on the trigger)

This is now my 4th Bullpup and I dare say edges out my ps90 SBR which is my love . Sooner or later I become non-lazy and post a family photo

I was thinking about holding out for the Geissele trigger pack as well, but this
Shooting Sight trigger pack is peeking my interest. Many buyers seem to have just purchased them this week, so I'm going to wait a month for some more reviews.

I'm really torn on this since I've been eyeing this trigger as well. I have been a die hard Geissele fan since I put one in my scar 16 and the fever is continuing into my DD M4A1 and HK MR762 platforms. I will hold out a little longer....

The Shooting Sight trigger is perfection , period.
At 100 yards its effortless to lay in accurate fire.

What a fun carbine.

Auggies:

1. Top. Simple 902 AUG A1 Green
2. Middle. AUG A2. This is one of the ones Pete at PJs had done with ATF approval back in the day.
3. Bottom. My old reliable 906 Black.

From my first range trip with the Tavor.

Several five shot groups at 100 yds.  Sorry didn't mark them. Just sighting in.

The five rounds in the nine ring were the off hand shots. I really like the ergonomics of this rifle!

Tavor SAR (16.5") with Vortex Sparc 2 and Inforce WML tac light mounted on an American Defense AD-T1-11 QD mount.
This tac light position works well. It doesn't obstruct the red dot and allows for easy manipulation of the button and side toggle switch with my thumb.

David, did you do the paint job on the Tavor yourself? If so what paint did you use?

It'd fit, I just don't currently have a light setup for it and am figuring out how I want to do it, so in the meantime i'm using the WML.

Aren't those things crazy expensive, once you factor in the firearm it goes with?  Worth it?

Also, badass.

On a related note, my .308 AR10 with 1:10 twist likes 168g the best, but my  1:11.25 RFB prefers 150-155 and 175, and oddly drops off a bit with 168's  YMMV
