The first major change was Unique, I just tossed an empty 4 pounder that that said "new formula" in the top left corner of the label. Alliant lost the contract for the Radford ammunition plant in 2012, and had to vacate the plant within a few years I believe. The Federal Government owns the plant & equipment, and this led to major shortages in handgun & shotshell powders because Alliant had to move manufacturing to other plants and start over with different machinery and in some cases... people. For awhile it seemed like almost every product they sold, except for the "Reloder" series rifle powders made by Bofors and imported into the U.S. had a little "sunburst" on the label cautioning users to consult current loading data. I have seen them on Unique, Red Dot, and Bullseye for sure. When my supplies of these powders ran out I switched to Winchester & Hodgdon powders. Sorry I don't have exact dates & times. BAE runs the Radford plant now. After writing all of this out, it strikes me that the major changes to their product line seem to mesh with the Radford timeline.
