Been using IMR430 with good results, but I'd like to hear of experiences with Varget as well.

I seem to recall reading that Varget can't push hard enough to be practically used for 6.5CM.

H4350 is where it's at. If you can find it.

RL-17 is working great for me but will be trying H4350 after finally finding some.

As mentioned above Varget will kind of work but you wont get enough speed to make it worth the effort.

H4350 is the standard but hard to find. IMR4350 works great but isnt as temp stable. This has never been an issue for me and when I finish my last fifteen pounds of H4350 I'm done with it. Tired of hunting it. Going to all IMR.

Some guys are reporting good results with IMR 4451 and its supposed to address the temp stability issue of IMR 4350.

when i ran out of 4350 i started using H414 with good results, the best load was 41.0gr of 414 with 140gr nosler CC. start low and work up.

Nah, Varget is good for any of the 6 or 6.5s.

Charts show plenty of velocity from a 6.5x47 using Varget, but H4350 is still the king for 6 and 6.5mm.

H4350 is the go-to. Also very hard to find

I have been working on loads using H4831sc and IMR 4451. Looking for velocity and temp stability.

Varget just seems very short on velocity for the CM

H4350 is the go to powder for me, my experience is just backorder it and get it about a month later

38-39 gr Varget and a 120 AMAX is a VERY accurate load for me

Haven't chrono'd it yet, though.

I suspect that Varget might be suitable for really light projectiles where you wouldn't pay as much of a velocity penalty as you would with heavier bullets, vs a slower burning powder.

I've had good luck with Varget and Berger 130gr tactical. But stopped using it.
Been using AA4350 with good results but I've got a pound of IMR4451 that I wanna load up and chrono as soon as I replace my tripod for my Labradar.

Varget works great with 120 and 123gr bullets for me. May work well with 130s also if you're working with a shorter barrel, gas gun or both.

Tagged, I've got Varget, Reloader 17, Superformance and H4350 to try with my 6.5's. So far I've been working through factory ammunition to build my brass stash.
