Explain more.about that straw

The prongs on the crown of the straw allow for more control on the grains being dropped with the scale goes into last of the slow rotation mode and stops, and will end up with a lot less rejected over throws that are slightly over isntead. Hence when its trying to throw the last grain, there is enough one the botttom crown that that will drop off it during the slight last tune, instead of the slight turn under up pushing way too many grains on the last movement isntead.
Watch this, and see the tube pushing clumps out as the last of the turns isntead. And yes, without any straw to begin with, it's much worse isntead.
So during the final last of turns, you trying to get the machine to drop single grains at a time isntead.
Note, Erik has fitted a polished cartridge tip to his machine to do the same as what the crown stray is doing instead. Hence the polished cartridge tip end channel is higher than the bottom of the channel, and gets the powder grains to line up in a row as they reach the end of the tip during the slow final rotations.
So during high and med speeds the stock threaded ID tube works fine for this, but it during the final low speeds that you are trying to get the machine to drop a single grain at a time instead.
