I have for years been a user of H335 for 223 with 55 gr. Hornady SP and FMJ.
I am starting to reload 308 using bullets in the range of 150 to 170 gr.
I am looking for one powder that would work well for the 223 and 308.
Would RL-15 be a good choice?
Thanks for your time and help.

You will be going from a ball powder H-335, to a short cut extruded powder with Re-15.
For an extruded powder, Re-15 measures good.
My Redding PM throws ball powder exact, and Re-15 + or - .02 grs.
I can also throw charges with a Dillon PM. 26.5 grs is about max for my Dillon PM.
Light bullets in 223 with Re-15?
The most accurate load I have yet found in my AR is 27.0 grs RE-15 and a Sierra 52 gr MK.
Have to use a drop tube with this 27.0 gr load.
There are worst choices you could make powder wise.
If you want to stay will ball powder, I would suggest CFE 223.
