Worked up from 17.0 to 17.5 to 18.0, with best accuracy at 18.0gr at 50 yards.  Zero at 50 yards crosses again at 100 yards and goes no higher than 0.3" above line of sight.  Crosses expansion threshold at about 115 yards, so this is meant as a 100 yard and in deer cartidge.  BDC reticule on Nikon P-300 super sub lines up at 7X for 150/200/250/300 etc. in case you want to target shoot out further, but I have not yet confirmed the actual BDC drops.

Did have some rounds pop out of the Lancer L5 20 rd mag (and 30 rd mag)
only had 65' to shoot and a shakey rest (Arms room in League City)
Sweet spot for My upper was 17.7 grs

I will shoot it at distance and chrono it asap

Just tested the CCI #450 with this load and side by side at 60*F they both shot 2000fps average, but the CCI #450 has an ES of 28 and a SD of 14.  Both group about the same (around MOA or slightly better).

9.5 and 10.2 loads shot at 75F & 30.11; 9.75 and 9.95 77 F & 30.06

All loads were done on my Lee Loadmaster; I had to use the .61 cavity and some sand paper to get to 9.95 and 9.75 (I shot the 9.5 and 10.2 and then determined 9.7 would be right were I wanted it; first .61 cavity I took to much out of, so decided to try it; then did another).  For weights I am doing two powder drops and dividing (hence the .05 measurements).  The are pretty consistent, but still a progressive; and a Lee.  I am going to go with the 9.75 @ 1038 fps load, hopefully keep me subsonic year round.

I just finished loading another batch to further testing.

My first loadings for my new pistol build.  Cycled well, fairly accurate (shooting at steel at 100 yards so no exact measurement ). Bolt locks back with Pmags.  Haven't seen much IMR4227 data and can't find other powders locally so I'm sharing for anyone else new to the 300 pistol world.

Another load I worked up. It was fired out of a 1/8 twist, 16" carbine SOTA upper. I haven't chrono'd it, but it is very consistent and accurate out of that particular upper. I settled on 17.6gr of powder, but 17.8 was just as accurate out of this setup with no pressure signs.

Do not use this load.  I loaded 5 rounds, tested them and they were fine.  No pressure issues.  So I loaded 200 more.  After firing 10 of the second batch I had 7 flattened primers and 3 blown out primers.  I suspect that my scale was out of calibration but 17.7 was a good bit below Western Powders max for a 168gr.  All were loaded on a single stage and powder charges were visually verified after weighing. I'm going to pull the remaining ammo I have and work up using the Hornady data, witch is more conservative.  Will also be calibrating my digital scales and using the Dillon beam scale as a check. Lesson learned.....

Here is one I did this week. It was fired out of a 1/8 twist, 8.2" Alpha Shooting Sports barrel on an AR15 pistol. I tried loads in .2gr increments from 15 to 16gr. I shot them at 50 yards with a scope to try their accuracy. This load ended up under 1" at 50 yards. All shots were strung vertically and I discovered that my scope mount was loose. Regardless these grouped better than all other loads I shot. I plan to try them again (with the mounts tight) next week to verify their accuracy.
