I use the wolf 223 primers and aa2230. I have had a couple no bangs out of about 500 rounds. Not sure what the cause was. The primers seem a bit tight when seating, but im a new reloader so I don't have much to compare it to yet. I got them for $14 /1000 so no real complaints.

But I have only used them in cartridges other than 223. |

The problem I have with TULA primers is the anvils fall out in handling.

No issues in .223 or with their pistol primers.

For AR15 you want either the KVB223M or the KVB556M both of these have a thicker primer cup than the KVB223. The KVB223M was marketed after some reported difficulty lighting ball powders in 223/556 w/ the KVB556M.
So: KVB223M or KVB556M for stick powders in AR15 KVB223M for ball powders in AR15 KVB223 - low pressure loads only in 223 or for other low pressure small rifle loads (22 Hornet, etc.) |

The main issue with kvb223 is ignighting h335. Had it happen twice. TAC ingnights without issues and very consistent. I get better SDs with them vs CCIs
As mentioned kvb223m is hotter and kvb556 is just a thicker cup. Never had a slam fire with kvb223, or pierced primers. |

So the kvb556 is NOT a magnum primer, just a thicker cup? If yes, I'll look for some. Some Service Rifle loads I'm working up are too hot for a magnum, but thinner cup like CCI 400 is not ideal. |

Their labeling is confusing, I've been using the kvb556 primers with wc844 and haven't run into any issues. Shot a 50 round string that had a SD of only 14 loaded warm with 844 and Hornady 55gr FMJBT's. 10 round groups of around 1.5" at 100yd with chrome lined barrels and me limiting accuracy
