I was going to swage the pockets on a batch of LC 7.62 brass. But I kept having problems with some cases swaging nicely and others not admitting my pocket gage at all.
Turns out that my brass has some pretty gnarly flash hole burs - not every one, but enough of them that I'm going to have to debur the whole batch before I can swage them. So after supper I'm going to be having that lovely bit of fun... |

I have about 1000 .223 cases to finish prepping. I keep putting it off because I loathe case prep. I have them all de-primed and resized, and I finally forced myself to make progress on trimming last night. I have about 200 more that need trimmed and then I get to fire up the Trim Mate to finish them off.
One of these days my cheap butt will buy a decent trimmer and maybe I'll hate case prep just a bit less. |

Just cleaned some primer pockets after tumbling some brass and reloaded the tumbler. Also got shipping confirmation on the replacement pawl for my LnL.

|
Recieved a lee hand press bought off the ee
Now can do case prep in the truck at work when on standby |
|
|
Not sure if this counts, but I did knock over a 5 gallon bucket of brass with a 4x4 I was cutting..........

I use a Dillon trimmer with a Hornady LnL. Today I had a spare hour so I decapped, resized, and trimmed approx. 1200 .223 brass. They went into the tumbler. |

I pissed off the mail lady. I received 4000 115 gr FMJ from Rocky Mountain. She left my box at the end of the driveway by the corner of the house instead of the porch. 70 lbs, I kind of don't blame her

He said "what is in here, lead?". I just laughed. |

Sorted out the range brass from Saturday morning. The two guys next to us at the range weren't keeping their brass so we got good sized can of 9MM, .40 S&W and .45 acp. Had a handful of .357 SIG and a couple of boxes of .38 special as well.
I can run the 9MM, .357 SIG and .38 special brass through the vibratory cleaner in two or three batches. The .40 S&W and .45 acp will have to run separately. Good morning of shooting (except for the heat/humidity) and enough brass to make up for what I lose sometimes. |

Finished processing the 9MM I had last night, then threw the 38 special from the range the other day in the tumbler and forgot about it last night. They were extra shiny this morning.
Ordered 1000 bullets in .356 (purple) and .358 (red) from egglestons a few days ago. Gotta get ready to load them up when they get here. |

Freedom costs a buck-o-five.
7.62 > 5.45 ---- It really does pound shit harder. |
Worked up several ladders of test loads in 45 acp using WSF.

I'm about out of .380 bullets and it's time to order a case of something. I have been using 100gr plated that I found from a guy locally, probably going to switch to coated. I can only find 95gr round nose or 105gr cone shaped (like a hollow point without the point being hollow).
I did recieve half a case of 45cal 185gr SWC. |

Went to a estate auction got 13,000 Winchester Large Pistol primers for $65. Everyone thought it was going per box, after that one they started to go for around $10 to $15 a box. Also managed to snag 1500rnd of 5.7 for $200 and got 2000 plated .40 cal bullets for $140. Really need to start going to more garage sales and estate sales for my supplies.

De-capped and swaged my way through 600 of the nastiest .308 OFB LC I've ever had the misfortune of encountering.
Thank God for the S1050. The other 1400 are soaking in two buckets of Dawn and water till I get to them. I told My friend, from here on out, I will be in charge of sourcing the brass. |

I just gotta ask........

Made 200 300 BLK subsonic rounds last night. 208 grain AMAX over 10.5 grains of IMR 4198

Picked up 5000 CCI 41's and 1000 CCI Small Pistol Primers at the gun show.
Decapped some 9mm and 5.56 cases. |

I finally got a chance to mess with my LC 7.62 brass again. I used my Lyman flash hole debur tool on all 200+ cases, then threw them onto the Super Swage. I gauged each one after swaging, since the cases are from a number of different years; they all gauged fine for the crimp. But I discovered that while I was able to eliminate the crimp, not all of the pockets allowed the gauge all the way into the pocket - this must be a variation in the actual pocket diameters.
So up next is uniforming all the pockets. Joy. On the other hand, I did get pocket uniformer tools for both small and large diameter primer pockets, so while it'll be another (yawn) productive session, it won't be too much of a pain. |

Ordered another 3k of the Berry's 220 grn plated Blackout bullets. They are a bit cheaper then the 220grn SMK and have not found any difference in performance over the SMK's. Added a couple LEE universal decapping dies and some Hornaday lock & load bushings (to adapt the RCBS Rock Chucker single stage over) to my Brownells tool order.

I got lucky and just waited for a 650 to come up on craigslist. I never see them on there but happend across one and jumped on it. |

The postal weight was 37.8 pounds. the box did have a hole in it so I can only assume some was lost. I still feel like I got a decent deal as I ended up paying about $0.08 per round and all of the brass is on pretty good shape. |
