Got a RCBS collet puller in my Midway order yesterday, so I am starting to break down 1 of the 3 30cal cans full of 9mm loaded with 124 grn gold dots I got super cheap a few years ago. It only took a few rounds to get it dialed in but I blew through 100 rounds in no time, way faster then "the hammer"..

I'm SOOOOOO jealous. I had a PW and sold it, cause I really don't need an Autodrive, but I'd love to play around with one of those.

Did up 25 of the prototype Nosler 123 grn bullets that someone posted about a few weeks ago and 25 of the Barry's 220 grn "Blackout" bullets for some cronograph work. The Berry bullets are a little bit shorter overall then the 220 SMK's I have been using in the past and using the same powder charge for these as the SMK's.

Finally got the last load of brass through the tumbler.

I now have ZERO dirty brass.

I've been trying to get one load a day through the Thumblers.

I have ALOT of sorting to do. All the .45 is mixed large/small primer, and all the .223 range pick up needs to be sorted.

My Son hurt his foot at work, and is currently sitting on the couch sorting the .223.

We drove up to Austin today, to enjoy the drive and visit Zilker Park.  The drive wasn't terribly enjoyable because of I35 (it's just "full" in the Austin area, not totally FUBARed like between Waco and north of Dallas, but that's another story), but Zilker was definitely worth the trip.  We walked our "miniature Australian Shepherd" (mixed breed) in the park and enjoyed the sights.

As granola-on-the-brain as Austin is, there are a lot of people who keep fit in an old fashioned way by jogging/running/biking on the trails in Zilker Park.  And Austin has this lovely and logical ordinance that says "anywhere it's socially appropriate for a male to be without a shirt, it's legal for a female to be topless."  Honest, that's the law.  And it's a great reason to visit Zilker Park in the summer, even if it is 101 bleeding degrees out.

Anyway, about 3/4 of the way between San Antonio and Austin is Buda, TX.  (It's pronounced "b' you duh".)  And pretty much the biggest thing in Buda is Cabellas.  So I stopped in (Bucky's doesn't have a patent on clean restrooms!) and bought two bricks of S&B SR primers, a couple of Hornady bullet puller collets, and some Magpul followers.  I didn't see any powders I needed, but they had plenty of them, though I bought the last two bricks of S&B rifle primers on the shelf.  It was pretty busy today with tons of people just milling around the various displays of "buy dad these things".

The parking lot was hotter 'n Hades, and most people don't realize "there's cars driving in this lot" and sometimes get surprised by a vehicle when they cluster in the middle of a traffic lane just to chat.  But finding the primers and collets was a nice experience - not only were other primers about 75% more expensive, most were out of stock, too.

So on the way back home I started pondering using the S&B primers in .30 Carbine instead of Winchester SR primers...

Tumbled about 500 cases of .223 and close to 600 cases of 300 AAC.  Lubed, resized, and decapped the .300.  I was planning on trimming the 300 tonight also, but I am not sure I have it in me.
Trimming has got to be the most time consuming part of it.  I have a lathe style trimmer that I have on a Jig I can attach my cordless to.  But gauging the brass, locking it into  the holder, trimming, removing, next, can get monotonous when there are hundreds of cases.  .  Then I still have the chamfering to do.  There are no crimps o I do not have to clean them out.  This batch is the one that will make me buy a RCBS, or similar, case prep station.  Or the trimmer that looks like a whole saw for the drill.

Finished a basic wood fixture to hold a HF cut-off saw for processing .223 brass into 300 Blackout, using an idea I picked up here -- a routed groove with holes spaced to allow the cut-off tips to go into one bin and cut-off cases into another.  One addition:  took apart the HF saw clamp and attached the threaded rod to use for an adjustable length stop.

Cut, formed, trimmed, deburred ~60 cases. :)

Last Friday I made a lot of empty brass at the range.  It was a good day.

Yesterday and today I have been leisurely turning out 62 gr M855 type rounds, although loaded to TAC velocities which look a bit light on the data book, but worked just fine at the range.

Those lip stick rounds posted up there look pretty cool.

Spent the last 3 days reorganizing all my buckets and bins of brass. Found a bucket of de-primed, swaged OFB LC that needs to go through the wet tumbler. So I have not conquered the dirty brass.

Fortunately, my son has been here sorting brass like a madman, I am happy to say that ALL the brass is sorted by headstamp, and put away. I learned how to make the 4"x6" labels on the computer, so all the buckets and bins are now labeled. I also have a rough idea of how much brass I have on hand, just need to figure out how many de-primed LC cases are in a 5 gallon bucket.

Also, the NOE molds showed up today, very nice looking molds, can't wait to make some .45 HP's.

Put up a shelf at eye level for my scales.

Got the new micrometer poise sticker from RCBS for the 10-10 scale I picked up at the gun show a week ago. Having a hard time getting the scale to zero though.

Got the new tumbler and media separator set up.

Going to sort my most recent range brass and run it through the universal decap die to get it ready for wet tumbling.
