Cleaned the room. Then got irritated with the layout so started rearranging the benches. Huge work in progress. Still have way too much stuff in there.

And after some more organization (collecting stuff together and either putting it away or throwing it away), I had more room to move in my room. Not enough yet, but it's better.
When I finished filling the trash can, I took some time to do some die maintenance. I had received my Forster Micrometer Seating Die in .308 some time back, but all I'd done with it was make sure it wasn't buggered up in transit. This afternoon I disassembled it and cleaned it for use. I also cleaned my .308 Hornady powder through expander, which I got even longer ago and was sitting on the table in its original packaging. The packaging was part of throwing stuff away; I don't know why I don't immediately dispose of packaging when I get something, but sometimes it takes me a while to get rid of that clutter. On the way to getting rid of that clutter, I located a large quantity of .32 ACP brass and another large quantity of steel 7.62x39 cases. I'm not sure which one I'm going to start messing with first... |

Shot 200 of my .223 reloads today continuing my NiB no cleaning test. Dont have a bench or anything fancy to shoot off so I just monopod my magazine to shoot groups.
Attached File I shot this magazine of CFE223 (26.2gr) and 62gr Fusions on a 6" target at 100y. Rifle isnt zeroed with these but its my main stash load. 2650 in my 16" bbls. Attached File Not the greatest but was shooting quick and gun is a PSA w/ A2 FSB, GI trigger and Vortex 2-7x. Also shot this 124gr GDHP from my G19. I worked up to 6.5gr Power Pistol which yields close to 1200 for me. Didn't measure but expanded nicely in the jugs. Attached File |

Test fired some .38 rounds I'd made a couple weeks ago. 3.6 gr of Titegroup under 158 gr plated round nose. Grouped pretty well at 7 yards considering I was shooting a snubbie I've never fired before.

Polished my Lee auto prime shell holder. New .308 Lapua brass wouldn't fit so I chucked an old case into my cordless drill and cleaned it up with some polishing compound.
I then primed 100 pieces of brass. |

I loaded about 200 rounds of 9 mm today. It took all of what, ... 30 minutes? At the most.
Next, I need to get set up for some concentricity tests on rifle brass. |
|
|
Over the weekend I loaded 175 pieces of 308 in some pre-processed LC brass. 155gr. Hornady FMJ with some IMR 4895 and IMR 4064. Waiting until I get to shoot these to find out if my gun likes one of these powders more.

"Pretumbling" some brass today... I like to wet tumble them for about an hour so they are somewhat clean when I decap them, then I'll tumble them again, afterwards.
Bought some 5 gallon buckets for bulk storage of different calibers of brass. |

Spent about $100 on shelving and bins for the room. Discovered I should probably dedicate another space if I ever want to get the PW 12 gauge press running.

After the discussion in my thread about powders for .40 S&W, I got busy. I sort of hoped I'd be able to do all my test loads with the same brand of cases. I figure I'll load 200 rounds; 10 each of 4 loads with 5 different powders. I had a couple of containers of over 500 deprimed and wet tumbled cases sitting around, so I went through the first one to see if I could do it.
From over 550 rounds, I got over 200 R-P cases, not quite 150 "Winchester" cases, and under 50 "Federal" cases. So I'm going to use the R-P cases. I may cull some of them, depending on how they do in processing, but I'm certain I have plenty more in the other container. I may go through and inspect rims before I do anything else, just to avoid problems. |

I got educated by two local arfcomers yesterday. Turns out I need a neck sizer and that I should keep my bolt gun brass separate from my gas brass.
Been cranking out more 147 9x19's today. Need to get more powder to finish the rest off. |

Still rearranging the room.
Got some 556 brass in the tumbler running. Found an old W.S. Vickerman 30 cal inline bullet seating die. All rusted and corroded. Got it cleaned and freed up. Still need to probably bead blast it to get the rust off. Just sized it into my Dillon 450. Think it will be a neat bullet seater for 300 Win Mag when I start loading for that. Some people say they are great dies, some people hate them. So we will see. Attached File So funny side note. You remember buying something for a rifle you didn't have yet but knew you were going to buy? I bought a Geisselle Super Scar trigger before I had the rifle. About a year later I bought a Scar 17. 2 years ago on Black Friday, I bought another Super Scar trigger because "On Sale" lol. Well, today I found the original Super Scar trigger I bought. I guess now I need another Scar rifle, maybe I'll get a 16 this time. |

I decided to take on a reloading apprentice. He wants to move up from loading on a Lee press to Dillon progressives. It will be fun letting him try the 550 and 1050.

Almost ran my powder drop dry while finishing up the last of the 147's so I picked up another pound of Autocomp during my lunch break.
Also picked up a pound of CFE223 to see how it does with Hornady 55 FMJ's. |

Then loaded up roughly 300 rounds of 45 ACP. |

I really need to get me one of the drill mounted bits when I get into LC 223 processing. |

Went shooting after work this morning with some guys I work with. Got a lot more 5.56 brass that they didn't want, and a little 9mm.

Changed out the tools from 9x19 to .45 ACP. Emptied the powder drop and cleaned it out of any residue.
Going to research some loads to see if I can just use one powder for 185 GD, 185 XTP, and 230 plated. Will prime some 9x19 to fill back my container of primed 9x19 brass. |
