I went to wideners site and saw no such listing for "LC844." I am only assuming it is
WC844, because as far as I know, no such creature as LC844 exists.

As far as starting point, it's hard to go wrong at a 23.5grs. for .223 if it is WC844, and head on up.
Not sure on .308 as I don't load that round.

Good luck and be safe.

Call Widner's for load data advice, they should be able to help if they're going to sell pull down gunpowders.

I really don't care much for this business of selling surplused gunpowders without solid information about exactly what is being sold, let alone with load data that is sort of in the ball park, and the batch to batch burn rate differences (which are unknown to the buyer).

844 is used for 223 and 308, and the 846 is mostly for 308, although the are just about interchangeable. basically, H335. military powder is not as consistent as canister powders, so you need to work up a load. i am using 25 grains of wc844 with 55gr fmj. have used it with my 308 precision rifle, and works good in it, but will be using 846 from now on, no that i have it..

I did love my job, working hard is what K9s do…. I was born for it, I lived for it, and died for it; for my country….but mostly for you.
