Well gents, I have to go with WST as my current favorite. Titegroup is best with jacketed/plated, the smoke you are seeing is likely lead as that stuff burns hot. Others listed work well, I have tried a bunch :)

I bought a LB last month to try out in 38, 45 Colt, 45ACP. Haven't gotten around to using it yet but will soon.
From what I've read and the name alone says it should be an accurate powder in those cals.
I've always used and liked HP-38 but I figured the grass is greener...so I picked some up.

Does it meter for crap, smokey, dirty?

Why the dislike ?

Nothing wrong with Titegroup, I just like other powders better.

For me W-231 is on the bottom of my list. Many, many powders I like better.

OK, I now know why Titegroup isn't a favorite.

It burns hot, which isn't good for lead. I'll use what I have with jacketed loads and see how that works out. I shoot 90% lead so I probably won't get anymore.

I don't want to get this thread off topic, so, no more explanation is nessessary. Thanks
