A few of you have noticed that I've been asking questions about benches. Well here's a little background, it all started with this and a box to keep my stuff in.

And then to this

I bought a little building and started work on a new bench

I went to a saw mill and got some cull oak, it still had the blade marks on it, so I sanded it down start with 60grit and then moving to 80, 150 and finally 220 grit and stained it.

I liked the way it turned out

And now, moving my stuff in just to see what and how much I had, still isn't organized or done yet.

That top is gorgeous, well done.

One thing I would do is to put a back board at the rear of the top to keep things from rolling off the back edge.

Your bench is off to a great start. Update your thread when you have more to add.

Thank you, and I'm gonna put up a back board after I put some insulation in.

Red and green are complimentary colors according to the color wheel

If you have or can get more of that wood cover all 3 walls with it. If not use drywall, paint it and put up some shelves.

Add more light too.

That wood looks nice !! I bet that bench is sturdy as a rock.
